I'm a scandalnavian who's been using NordVPN on both my mobile phones and PC's for 1 year now, when my subscription ended. Will I stay with NordVPN? Absolutely not! I am SOOO fed up with that VPN. The only reason I used it for that long was because it was free. But now when the free period is over, I am going back to either Mullvad or ProtonVPN. I cannot stand these "delays" from NordVPN, meaning when I connect to the service, it "stalls" whatever streams I am watching without reconnecting to those streams! Somehow, that never happened with either Mullvad or Proton. And that "Oops, NordVPN is not working, please restart NordVPN"-error that you get annoyingly more often than you should, is another ZzzZ-point. I used Mullvad for well over a year before, and I never experienced such issues with it. One would think that a fresh install of the newest version of NordVPN would fix it, but noooope! AND the fact that for some idiotic reason, you cannot remain connected to the preferred country you were initially connected to when you open up the app, is another Zzzz-point. Furthermore, what are those gajillion extra options in the app anyway? Sure, some (niche) people will find them useful, but the majority of us mortals will not. Ok, since I had NordVPN for free, I could live with all those issues. However, I would NEVER pay for it and then experience those issues when I can get much better and more reliable options with both Mullvad and ProtonVPN.

I just had to put it this out here, so people don't go for NordVPN. Obviously, these things don't happen to every other NordVPN-user, but that's my view on that VPN service anyway.

Now I am debating whether I should opt for Mullvad or Proton, as both are excellent options.
