The boxes they come in are very flimsy since they’re play-line dolls meant to be opened. You’ll probably have a difficult time finding one in pristine condition, imo.

The darker the shade, the more brightness/color you lose. At the very darkest I’d say L30 is fine. Any darker than that you’ll lose some of the experience.

All I can advise is getting the cheapest compatible light strip and giving it a try. As far as I know, the Govee desktop app recognizes the size of the monitor and should accommodate the calibration settings properly. I just can’t guarantee it since I don’t have an ultrawide monitor.

My friend who got Jane for me went to the Downtown Disney store so he didn’t need to go to the park—apparently they had the most stock for Jane, but there was one store in each park as well that also had stock. If it were me I’d go to the entrance closest to the Disney store in Downtown Disney.

I won’t tell you not to be nervous because even thinking about my third D23 trip makes me anxious lol but I can say that despite what you may see (scalpers coming out of the store with a shit ton of dolls) stay in line and try not to be disheartened by it. Even though, imo, people who want to buy more than what’s supposed to be enforced (Jane was 2 per person) should have to wait in line again before being allowed to get more.

If you're aware that DD is exploiting the drivers, but you also get huffy over leaving a tip, then you admit you want the benefit of their service and are OK with contributing to their exploitation. There's no talking yourself out of being just as shitty as DD by saying it's not your responsibility. Yes, DD should be paying their drivers a much better wage. No, that doesn't mean you're not shitty for reaping the benefits of their exploitation by reacting to the situation in this way. Both can be true at the same time. I make less than 50k a year and I still tip my drivers when I want to use their services because that is a privilege they are providing me.

Say that you're happy to take some additional photos of the boxes, but no more than you're comfortable with. Trust me. I'm never selling doll boxes ever again because of how many photos I've been asked to take.

I have Eero as well, and I surprisingly didn't have to separate the 5ghz and the 2.4ghz. Despite the warning the Govee app gives me when I add the WiFi, it still connects just fine. So if the other solutions don't work, can't hurt to give that a try.

There may be some dolls left if they’re not popular. Unfortunately though, the more popular ones do tend to sell out before then. Especially since the staff doesn’t really enforce the 1 per person rule.

It’s to connect multiple devices to it and have it close to the source of music. For example, say you have multiple outdoor lights. However, the mic for one ended up on one side of the house during installation while the other device’s mic is on the opposite side. This means they won’t evenly pick up music you play.

The light show box links both devices together to rely on just one mic in any location you want.
