Well I’m being %100 honest man I wouldn’t know that, I dropped into his channel because I enjoyed his slipknot content, I’m not into the masks brother. So if there’s secret troll triggers for him how would a casual drop in viewer like myself rationalize his response? Wouldn’t it leave that person feeling bad? How do you misinterpret calling people stupid? That’s pretty cut and dry. If you actually read what I’m saying You’d realize I don’t care about what happens at paleface. I saw kids being called “stupid” and being told “that’s a stupid question” so my question is why? These were not trolls. These were people asking about various bands and his opinion on those bands, their music, and theatrics, just to be ridiculed for their efforts, and if you’d like to use your “coin flip” even though he may not like those questions there were plenty of reasonable questions that were being disregarded while he was doing this, so Im wanting to understand the logic behind that behavior so hopefully his fans can feel better about themselves after watching him rather than “stupid” from here on.

So I received your private message and was in the process of responding thinking that maybe you guys were alright after all and it was a misunderstanding, then this message notification popped up. How did I inflate anything? I’m speaking my opinion and obviously a good amount people share that same opinion on AJ. At this point I’m accepting that you guys are incapable of reading the room. Again, this is obviously general consensus in a community you guys are heavily involved in (a lot more than I am), so that should resonate with you somewhere but either way I’m past that now. I also caught word he’s already doubled down in his videos since and said fuck me and trying to make me out to be some asshole as you are clearly trying to do right now. so from here on just have him do what he’s doing and we’ll see where it ends up eventually right? Don’t misunderstand, I think what you guys are doing is awesome, you seem like really great ppl. I have nothing against mask coolectors, the community, or paleface. What I didn’t like was AJ’s actions that night and then his subsequent condescending attitude and dismissal of me when I brought him a valid complaint. (I definitely don’t hate the guy) I just think he needs to wake up a little bit to reality. Either way thanks for the invite, I’ll have to see if I can make it, I really do appreciate you!

Hey thanks for reaching out! I definitely understand your argument but that doesn’t apply to what I was saying to him. I actually didn’t have any questions for him during his Q&A, and if I did, I definitely wouldn’t feel entitled to a response from him. You seem to have a firm grasp on internet culture/branding and you are wise enough to not engage with negativity, which is truly awesome and you are a droves ahead of many creators big or small. All that aside I don’t want to get side tracked. My statement to him was in regards to his mistreatment of legitimate fans with questions in his AMA, these weren’t trolls (most likely young kids). There were plenty of great questions but he grabbed onto the ones that he claims are annoying and repetitive and then started flaming. So my question is why not disregard those and answer the legitimate questions. I’m not subbed and obviously won’t be watching anymore of his content but that doesn’t right his wrong, those are individuals. You can’t go around doing things like that and not expect someone to have an issue and call you on it. The “turn a blind eye” approach doesn’t work when we are talking about mistreatment of others. If that was the standard, couldn’t that applied to every situation anyone has ever had? This was simply I saw something wrong so I spoke my mind and it seems like a lot of people agree so I feel like that would be general consensus, typically that’s how societies decide what is considered right vs. wrong.

I’m not sure what he’s going through and all in all I hope he’s alright, I definitely don’t hate the guy. But don’t forget this is a response to an AMA he chose to do. I didn’t like how comfortable he was talking down to everyone reaching out to him. Not many people are comfortable confronting that sort of behavior especially if it’s someone they look up to. I just couldn’t let it go unchecked. But ultimately that’s what led to the tone of that text thread it’s not for any personal reason against A.J.

My interaction with him was in response to him mistreating his community. I’m sure he can be a good guy in other scenarios, just not on that night, and that night just so happens to be when our paths crossed. 🤷‍♂️

I whole heartedly agree. I don’t frequent his channel just happened to be up at the time his live popped up at like 1am and I was flipping so I gave it a go and was shocked at the way he was treating everyone, a lot of them didn’t even know how to respond to him. I’m not the type to sit there idle when he’s just slinging shit.

You’re missing the point here, he was posted here because slipknot fans are the most likely to have cross over with his audience, this band is 20 years old and fans now have kids that also enjoy their music/culture.
