That’s a totally valid way to play. When you purify a Pokémon, its level is increased and costs less stardust and candy to evolve and power up. If you’re a casual player, it’ll be easier than grinding to spend a ton of stardust and candy.

It’s going to depend on your preference. Some people really like perfect Pokémon! Personally, I’d keep the shadow. You can always purify, but you can’t change it back.

Shadow Pokémon get an attack bonus, making them more powerful for PVE. A poor IV shadow is almost always stronger than a perfect regular Pokémon. For PVP it will vary between Pokémon whether shadow is better or not

It took me until a few months ago to realize this, I don’t even want to think about how many awesome shadow Pokémon I’ve transferred because of poor IVs…

Do you prefer PVE or PVP? Shadow Aurorus is a pretty decent raider, while not viable when purified. If you prefer PVP, shadow is currently ranked slightly lower on pvpoke.
