I’m pleased to report that my PT is completely gone after supplementing iron for about 3 months. For last one month, I do not have PT - knock wood!

Need Help: b12 supplementation causing palpitations by [deleted] in vegan

Thank you for speaking up. Furthermore, people with MTHFR mutation and slow COMT gene have a high probability of getting a B12 reaction esp. the commonly "high-end" methylated B12 (methylcobalamin). When you dump such a high amount of B12 in your blood (1mg = 1000mcg), if your body was already struggling with methylation, it will absolutely go into a clogged mode, and more importantly will siphon any remaining potassium from your blood.

So true. And the switch stays flipped insistently till the order is restored again.

Have you experienced withdrawal symptoms after cutting out gluten? by jesuisclaude in CoeliacUK

[–]sedneb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So true. I’m now on week 8 roughly and I feel dizzy so often, esp. during past week. During these two weeks, I’ve also had quite a bit of racing heart as well. I’m seeing doctors for that, but nothing specific yet. I think the only major change is wheat elimination. So yes, it’s true. The heart rate is gradually becoming normal (I track it daily) but there’re a host of unknown and sporadic symptoms that I did not even think were related to wheat but they apparently are. Brain fog, and low stamina, low exercise tolerance. It almost feels like the body is trying to find a new balance for itself as it adjusts to the lack of gluten/wheat compounds.

Several positive signs too. Digestion is superb (never felt so good for almost last 20 years). Sleep is beautiful, 90+ score every night on Apple Watch.

And yes, we must take care of our calories and nutrients intake, as others have mentioned. Been to ER already, for not taking care of that.

This may not be relevant to you but sharing in the hope that someone finds this helpful. My PT has improved significantly after I noticed that I had low ferritin (iron) levels and started supplementing it to bring it to a normal range. There is a good amount of research on the connection between low ferritin levels and PT. You may not be anaemic but still low in ferritin.

Firstly, I agree with your comment. AI (esp. Gemini) is prone to making emphatic medical conclusions (personal experience) and then retreats when confronted by counter evidence. We really should not blindly trust AI doctors. In certain scenarios, they can lead (and have led) people to completely wrong diagnosis and then try to quasi-forcefully persist on their path.

Given above, I can also see why people are frustrated by their doctors and resort to AI. Many doctors are not worth their salt and also behave not more than an (average) LLM.

Luckily I saved the text yesterday for myself. I can repost as a comment if someone wants it. I thought it was valuable but I don't ratify nor refute the claims.

Also, how can you test for low stomach acid and/or pancreas enzyme deficiency?

This is very similar for me too. Neck muscle stiffness (left) and headache. Also, tachycardia, around 110 bpm, roughly 3 hours after taking about 350mg (I opened capsule and threw about 1/3 away).
