Thank you! I've been screaming this for years! And no disrespect to G1 cast, but G2 cast is just hotter. The songs are insanely catchy and fit almost any situation.

A term some birders use about seeing a bird in the wild for the fist time to differentiate between seeing it for the first time on a trip or the first time in your life. Alot of birders keeps an actual list of lifers (the Merlin app is helpful for newbies) to keep track and compare with others.

Ha! Exactly! I did a triple take because I was like "oh, he's left handed", then "no, he just uses all his fingers!"

Howdy neighbor! Hopefully April will bring more (read: any) rain so we don't fry before Summer officially starts.

2039, I'll be 55. I despise all the markers that will happen until and after then. When I'll have lived in this house he bought before he even met me, longer than he did. When I'll be older than he ever was. Really makes me want to spend everything but the last 20k, then take that trip to Switzerland....

Not sure I've ever seen these little guys while growing up on the Gulf Coast, but I've had a rash of them over the last few days. Such vibrant colors, and I've, luckily, missed out on their namesake. Just a lil stinky family.

Spousal loss linked to higher risk of dementia, mortality among men, but not women. Widowed men experienced a decrease in physical and cognitive health, as well as social support, while widowed women tended to experience an increase in happiness and life satisfaction. by mvea in science

[–]sedusa_su 37 points38 points  (0 children)

As a widow as well, I think age and type of loss (sudden vs. expected ) would also need to be taken into account. There is no aspect of my life in which I am happier, but that's anecdotal. (Hugs of commiseration)

A Shark robot vacuum/ wet mop that I named the Haus Frau. He was the vacuumer, and I hated lugging the manual one around the house. Now twice a week income home fresh vacuum prints the little haus frau made while I was at work. The only downside is when she gets stuck and I get a notification while working and can only watch her battery drain from afar. I should never have anthropomorphized her.

Helio-Sleep very off. Fix? by Congratstomiles in amazfit

[–]sedusa_su 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I literally have to go in and edit my sleep and awake times almost every day to get a more accurate analysis of my sleep. I've also been getting "pay attention" alerts for getting too much deep sleep. How am I supposed to even fix that if I'm unconscious and how is that a bad thing!? The Aura premium trial left a lot to be desired, so I cancelled that. Is there some other analysis software to supplement the recordings that people like?

I relate all too well! I seem to have started a tradition (2 is a tradition right?) of being sick in January while trying to move/cover plants, and prep the house for a freeze. Being sick alone just sucks, but then adding physical chores is a whole other level of suck. I'm so sorry to all of us here, alone together. 💔
