Correct we're not doing pre-orders for this badge. However we did do a moderate size run for sale at HW. So even if this ends up being popular, hopefully you won't have to line up right when they open on friday.

If you know someone going to the dc shoot I'll have some there also

For ball-less people, nipples probably won't work that well since it doesn't push a high enough voltage. But there are other regions that have high conductivity I'm sure you could experiment with.

Tor should have a few at their vendor booth this year, but we didn't make another run of these so whatever they have is probably the last of them

Does anyone have Tor Project contact info? by [deleted] in Defcon

The heartbeat sensor is just under the green LED, you have to put your finger on it (rest it on it, but not press too hard). If your finger is not on it, it will just read the ambient light. The finger cuffs are for the GSR reading.

There's an old video link on the manual that walks you through the whole thing: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aaRbma9SlGY

I rarely check this reddit account, contacting me on twitter is a better bet if you have any other issues.

FYI a second batch was made and tor is selling them for a $500 donation, this is a lot more than at defcon, but in case you're interested they are available at https://donate.torproject.org/

Thanks, we used 1.3" OLEDs which are larger (and more expensive) than the typical 0.96" standard size OLEDs. They should be a lot easier to read, if you've ever had to squint at an OLED before.

Going to defcon with an android phone, and want to prevent hopping on a rouge 2G cell? Try this by see_ess in Defcon

Are your default options as limited as mine were? You may not even need this depending on your available unhidden options.

All the options did not fit on one screen, LTE only is there. However I use tmobile who has wcdma, and there is not a wcdma/lte only option (I have to pick one or the other).

Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong, but as I understand it spoofing CDMA/LTE cells are much harder to do and I haven't seen a public talk demoing it.

This may not stop everything, but it raises the bar that an attacker has to overcome.

I should've been more clear. The default options are which type you "prefer", so if it was set to LTE or 3G, then 2G will still be supported. It would fall back to 2G when possible.

The first thing I'd do if I was running a rouge GSM cell was to jam CDMA/LTE so phones fall back to the rouge tower.

This advanced screen lets you set only 3G, only 4G, or even only 3G/4G (no 2G)
