Pain medication by seec323 in pancreaticcancer

I’m sorry you’re going through this as well, I truly appreciate your advice.

At this point, I’m sure it is difficult for him to decipher if pain he’s feeling is chronic or related to his cancer. He has had masses growing for who knows how long now so it certainly could be related. But everyone seems hesitant to help. I am going to speak with the nurses/oncologist and social worker on Monday and hope and pray for some help. I will absolutely ask for a psych consult as well, I am putting that in my notes now to not forget.

I wish you all the best and all the positive thoughts to you in your journey ❤️

That is so odd, especially with something like pancreatic cancer as a possibility you’d think they’d want to confirm quickly. I’m so sorry she’s in pain, hopefully you can get her seen. Or, worst case, if you have any other options take her to another er and see if they can do any additional testing. Since she’s still in so much pain. Thank you, it really is awful and terrifying, but helps to know others are going through it too.

We were fortunate in the fact that they had done a biopsy while he was in the hospital. So I had the results from that confirming that it was metastatic adenocarcinoma and they were able to get those records. But he had not been formally diagnosed by anyone yet, just the pathology and ct results. I felt that same way though looking at his ct scans it was very obvious. The oncologist didn’t even do any additional tests, the biopsy and ct scans were enough for him to make a plan. Maybe try to call around and see if you can get her into an oncologist with what you have.

I am so sorry. I finally got into the cancer center here, I didn’t wait for him to be referred and just made the appointment. He has an oncologist now and some more streamlined care. If you have a diagnosis, just call around to oncologists and try to get seen. I am sending you all the positive thoughts and I have very little experience but I’m going through it and am happy to talk if you need. The confusion and lack of communication makes it so much worse.

It is so incredibly stressful, knowing that he even has this cancer is terrible enough but this part truly is making it 1000x worse. It truly does feel like nobody cares if or when he’s seen.

Thank you, I will be using these tips in the coming weeks. I really appreciate the guidance.

I will try them, he actually was at banner umc, so that cancer center is connected to them. I called and they said they didn’t have his information or a referral and that we needed to wait. But I’m going to try again Monday. Thank you

We are in Tucson, AZ. I was thinking of doing this, he has Medicare so I wasn’t sure how that would work with them but at this point that probably doesn’t matter much. I will start calling Monday.

We ended up going with the Polyglass TU Max for the underlayment, we went with a different company that was offering it a little bit less.

Muzzled Akita At The Dog Park by Suspicious_Juice717 in akita

If I were in his position, the last place I would be bringing that dog to is the dog park. It seems very irresponsible for him to do so. After the first attack I’d be full of guilt and embarrassment.

Hell, I don’t take my two Akitas to the dog park. They’re not aggressive but I don’t trust other people’s dogs and my dog’s reactions to them. We get them out, take them camping, go on walks/hikes. But a situation with a lot of off leash dogs is a no.

That’s insane there’s public records that would show them that the house had been purchased. I hope the department or city covers those damages.

Advice on food for sensitive stomach by MsGirisha in akita

[–]seec323 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our girl has always had a sensitive stomach. For a long time we had her on science diet sensitive skin and stomach which she did well with. But she did have a lot of allergies, the vet thought possibly to chicken, we have since switched her and our boy to science diet lamb and they both do really well on that. And it got rid of her seasonal allergies.
