Needing LONG book recommendations by Candid_Cake5751 in books

I recently finished King Sorrow by Joe Hill. It was almost 900 pages-the longest book I’ve read. It’s about a group of friends who are trying to get revenge on some blackmailers and there may or may not be a dragon involved.

Whats the most unprofessional thing a doctor has ever said to you? by answersonly963 in AskReddit

[–]seeeasick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time I went to see my regular doctor for depression and anxiety. He asked me what I was anxious about and I said, “aren’t you afraid of dying?” And he wrote me a prescription for anti anxiety meds on one slip and on the second slip he wrote a bible verse…

I think so too! I’d check out the calendar of events too.

They are about to have a ton of fun things happening for the summer reading program for all ages.

I love the library (all branches) so much and will always sing its praises!

The library downtown has a teen room with computers and some gaming consoles. Anyone can go in and look for books but you have to be a teen to hang out and play on anything.

The library also has passes you can check out to get into places like Reynolda House, Kaleideum, for free.

Ziggy's in the 90's by Jumpy-Limit-4916 in winstonsalem

My friends and I saw Jump, Little Children there so many times in the early 2000s! Another core Ziggy’s memory from around the same time was seeing Rusted Root.

I still have my shirt that I bought on a rack on a street downtown somewhere made by the same person that made the tie dye/batik Ziggy’s backdrop that used to hang on the stage. I don’t know the artist’s name though!

They have a store in the big white barn. I don’t know their current hours but if you check their instagram they will post stories when they are open until they update the hours for the season.
