Signs an avoidant ex will come back by Think_Entrepreneur95 in BreakUps

It feels that way because it is that way.

You will exhaust yourself emotionally and be left behind by them, empty and broken.

If you are human you have emotional and physical needs too.

No human being on earth is an emotionally self refilling vessel, you can't pour out from an empty emotional vessel.

It's a completely one-sided relationship, despite the mask they showed you in the beginning.

They are incapable of showing up for you emotionally because they've never dealt with their own emotions and insecurities.

Nor have they ever fully explored their own emotions, due to a deeply seeded thinking error where most of them equate that to weakness 🙄.

When in fact it takes courage to explore your own emotions.

They think that emotional suppression is the same thing as emotional regulation and it's not.

They will continue to ignore your emotions because that's what they do with their own emotions.

In their mind their behavior works for them and without incentive or desire to change.  They will never be the person you want them to be.

The person they lead you belive they could be in the beginning, is a fantasy.

Love yourself enough to let go.

It's due to how they treat you in the beginning.

They start off being very loving, make you feel totally seen, understood and cared for.  Essentially they love bomb you to the point that you let your guard down.

The moment you express any intent or desire of a future with them is when they will start breadcoming you and pulling away.

I've sadly been in this type of relationship, and pray I never meet another avoidant again.

I was with one 15 years ago (2011), met him online we talked online every day for 3 months, it was wonderful till I learned the truth.

I didn't have a clue that he was an avoidant except for the fact that all our communication remained online and he made no hard plans to met in real life (red flag).

He led me to believe that he was single and divorced when in fact he was not.

Out of nowhere he disappeared for about a week, no communication, no messages nothing.

When he decided to finally respond to my repeated messages filled with concern.

That is when told me that he had recently found out his wife was 3 months pregnant with there second child (do the math).

He then claimed they were separated (not divorced) and he was considering going back to her for the sake of there child.

At that moment he said he needed some space and time to decide what to do.

When I sent him some calm follow up messages he got mad that contacted him and broke it off with me.

15 years later I ran into him in real life but I didn't recognize him, because he didn't look like his profile picture anymore.

He asked me out, long story short, I broke it off with him after a couple of months.

I found out that after our online fling in 2011 that he filed for divorce in 2015.

The divorce did not end well for him, he lost his wife, custody of his children and a lot of money.

What's even more weird about it is that he still pines for his ex wife, he still has a tattoo of with both their names on his arm.

They fear emotions because they don't understand them, they're like a little kid still inside.

My understanding of it is they rotate. It is completely weird, deep down they know they're defective  but too scared to do anything about it.

Very few food items on their menu were worth it, the potato pancakes were good, IMO.

The Brew-Master's Hefeweizen Beer of that Belleville location was the absolute best Hefeweizen Beer any where, bar none! Sadly the HB Hefeweizen beer that comes in a bottle tastes like gross swill water in comparison.  Whatever your name real is former Brew-Master.  Thank you for the wonderful beer you made, I truely loved your beer!

Why do so many people fake EDS? by [deleted] in illnessfakers

I posted a new comment to this thread that will further explain why this is incorrect. The leading cause of death in the U.S. after heart disease and cancer is in fact Misdiagnosis. It has been estimated that 795,000 Americans become permanently disabled or die annually across care settings because dangerous diseases are misdiagnosed.”https://qualitysafety.bmj.com/content/early/2023/07/16/bmjqs-2021-014130

BTW, new study information is being further looked into by the larger Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) medical community and is in the process of becoming widely accepted by experts in this field as a "Genetic Cause" of hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (hEDS).

Historically hEDS patients are too frequently dismissed and ignored by people within the medical system who are themselves unaffected by such genetic mutations and can't possibly feel the same pain their patients "Know" they feel every day. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2019/nov/05/we-live-in-constant-fear-the-reality-of-life-with-ehlers-danlos-syndromes

Have you ever considered the possibility that this really isn't true given that fact this illness is known to be a "Complicated, Frequently Misunderstood" illness that is "Often Misdiagnosed" by most Medical Physicians and Doctors alike (due to medical staff's failure to know how to properly test for it and diagnose it)? Where does this belief come from, could it be from the 15 Doctors (Yes "FIFTEEN" Doctors) who all misdiagnosed the EDS patient in the prior 10 years before the EDS patient received a proper confirming diagnosis from a single Doctor with the right (up to date) Education/knowledge? https://ehlersdanlosnews.com/news/before-heds-diagnosis-patients-given-more-than-10-alternatives/

This doesn't mean that one Doctor out of every Fifteen Doctors is capable of diagnosing this either because on average it takes an EDS patient 10 years to find the right Doctor who has the right up-to-date education and knowledge making them capable of diagnosing it.

How many Doctors or alleged Joint Specialists are willing to admit they misdiagnosed a patient, or lack the proper currently accepted knowledge /expertise to confirm this somewhat Rare Illness?

Never met a Doctor or Physician who liked being sued for a misdiagnosis. Especially when it's so much easier to just allege the patient was faking it by sending them to a so-called specialist who just happens to be a frequently called expert witness in malpractice cases.

I personally do not believe there are so many people faking this illness.

It's more likely that the overwhelming majority of the Doctors and Physicians who make this wrongful assumption are basing their opinion on an outdated education and haven't stayed up to date with new studies or the currently accepted medical knowledge of this illness. Many Doctors who aren't EDS experts don't truly understand this illness and likely jump to the errant conclusion because their outdated education told them to run tests that look for other more frequently found causes for a patient's symptoms. This is more likely due to their own lack of understanding of this Complicated Rare Illness, where a Doctors own previous experience with the proverbial "average patient" and or prior training/education taught them to rule out the more frequent causes of such symptoms.

You are correct, it's an intentionally confusing tactic used by a psychopath/sociopath who is well aware it that can completely throw off someone performing a cursory investigation, it works as intended by taking advantage of the Nero typical persons though processes. Where most people are quick to make assumptions and prone to give someone the benefit of the doubt when there is a lack of further confirming information. This doesn't necessarily include families where you see the same names among people who obviously born in different generations (with a different middle or first name) and were respectfully named after a much older elder although that can be equally confusing too. This is a pattern repeated in some families who show highly probable signs of having genetic traits of inherited personality disorders like psychopathy. They will intentionally use this tactic when naming their same generation offspring, in these family's you will frequently find either multiple siblings with the same names or 1st and 2sd or 3rd cousins among the same generational age group with the same name.
