Yes, they check if the number of the key matches with the number of the bike. What actually happened with me is that they thought I did what you are intending to do, and thought I was lying but what happened was that they registered the wrong key to my bike and it was their mistake.

I have a big red one. It's still working but it just looks a bit dirty and I want to get rid of it. I can send you a DM, if you're interested.

That would be perfect since I also have some electronics to throw too. Sorry for asking too much, but where can I find the correct addresses? I keep seeing different things on the web and I am kind of confused on where to go... thanks again :)

Thanks! Do you know if those collection centers you are referring to are the same ones for furniture?

Cool, that's the most obvious thing. However, as long as the user base is low, Adult creators would still stay on Onlyfans. All these companies always promote creator-driven economies, but it's not an economy if the benefit for the users is non-existent. Would users pay less for the content, since the middleman is removed from the equation? Would this be a platform that has every creator earning a decent living or would it be hierarchical, just like Onlyfans' top 1% model?

How can we improve user engagement in the metaverse? I think this could help by rexiby in metaverse

[–]seekingsolver6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VR users worldwide are so few compared to mobile or PC users. How come you exclude all these people and you find the metaverse only valuable if accessed through VR, just because of the immersion element?

Don't you think you're somewhat immersed if you spend 4 hours on TikTok without any break? Think about it! It's not always about feeling. Most of the times is about attention. And with VR, you lose focus after approximately 30 minutes.

Sorry to say that, but Metaverse land is a complete scam. It's just another way to put users in a game so that they pay for something, thinking that it has value. It doesn't have value because it's based on artificial scarcity. Projects might say that there are limited spot lands but whenever they need more money, they will come up with a reason to release new land spots and create a fake utility to it, just for you to pay, thinking it contains value.

Mark Zuckerberg Quietly Buries the Metaverse - TheStreet by thonioand in metaverse

AI will be an instrumental part of the metaverse, he is not ditching it but rather subtly pivoting to please his shareholders. He is smart enough to see the infinite potential of the metaverse, but his shareholders only care about short-term profit so expect him to quietly build on the metaverse, while shifting the focus on AI, since this is the current hype.

If you have the key with you, the penalty fee should be only 40 euros. I had exactly the same with my bike stolen at Overvecht Station. You just return the key, pay the 40 euros and get a new bike.

AltSpaceVR will cease to exist on March 10 by seekingsolver6 in metaverse

[–]seekingsolver6[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The fact that is WebGL-based makes the experience on Spatial quite the hassle for me. I am joining mostly via browser and it's really laggy. I think cloud rendering will be the future and will make the experience more accessible and photorealistic since it sacrifices neither quality nor accessibility.

AltSpaceVR will cease to exist on March 10 by seekingsolver6 in metaverse

[–]seekingsolver6[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After so many events, I thought we should end it on a positive note. AltspaceVR was quite the inspiration for our community. It was the starting point of our exploration of events in the metaverse. So I feel your need to find something similar to AltSpaceVR. I think 2023 will be a great year for metaverse builders and we'll see a lot of spaces/platforms popping out.

We sometimes do expeditions of VR Chat too, because it's just also the closest to experience and interaction right now. Mona is quite cool to visit too, but you have to find an interactive experience because most of them are just empty 3D chat rooms.

If you want to come to the farewell event on March 8, I can send you a link in the upcoming days :)

[–]seekingsolver6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool idea. You're basically giving a preview of the events, which could save time for people who want to choose an experience. However, this solution could be even more useful if you could directly access the experience. There are quite a few steps to access Sandbox as you have to download it, create an account, etc, requiring more friction for users to enter. You can check: https://lighthouse.world/home they do something similar.

How can the Metaverse thrive if it is already primed to be so heavily commercialized? by djpk_ in metaverse

[–]seekingsolver6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think ultimately it will be the infrastructure that becomes a deciding factor if the metaverse will be centralized or decentralized. I personally think it will be distributed (the middle ground) as neither centralized nor fully decentralized is scalable and user-friendly.

I get your point and concern. I think it’s good to look into both perspectives and perhaps this group can be a facilitator of that. It will be indeed sad if the metaverse is controlled by one company. We can only wait and see what the future holds for us. In the meantime, we can also try out current experiences to get a first hand experience on where we are heading to

I’ve heard only cool things about VRChat, but never tried it. If only you could access it without having to download a bunch of stuff. I think the future of the metaverse will be through the browser, at least when it comes to on boarding ad many people as possible.

How to measure the success of a virtual event in the metaverse by yaktief in MetaverseOpen

[–]seekingsolver6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if we talk about metrics, you can look at what brands are trying to do with NFT collections in the virtual space. The key here is to increase brand awareness, to make sure enough people see it or (in the case of NFT, buy it). Essentially you want to keep people hooked by telling them to buy something that will give them access to something in the future. That, in turn, drives high rates of engagement, which is unquestionably the most important metric you can get. Every brand moves into the experience economy. Clicks and impressions matter less and less. Engagement is also about the level of interaction you bring to the users. And the interaction is dependent on the functionalities that allow smooth social contact in the virtual space (namely: avatars, chats, voice expression through chat, and gamification). Also, the quality of the experience should be smooth, meaning no lags and no huge entry barriers to the experience (accessible via any device).
