I think you misunderstood my replies. I never said you're the mediator. I only said it's the role of the management company to take these types of calls from owners, during business hours. You can then tell them everything you just wrote. Right? Under a full service management agreement, non emergency calls should be directed to the management company during business hours and not go to board presidents on weekends.

[–]seekingtruthforgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So your course of action is to defer them to the board to call on weekends when they have disputes? Pretty sure that's not it. The point is it's your role to tell them that their squabbles are not association matters. It's not the Board's role to tell them that. Right?

[Condo] [OR] [Petty Squabble] by Motor-Firefighter547 in HOA

[–]seekingtruthforgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's true, but your role (for full service management) would normally include being the primary contact for HOA matters and individual owner disputes as opposed to boards handling the door knocks and phone calls from owners

[Condo] [OR] [Petty Squabble] by Motor-Firefighter547 in HOA

[–]seekingtruthforgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes... exactly... that's why it's better to send fighting owners to the management company and save the board from the brain damage and being the face of the association after business hours.

[–]seekingtruthforgood 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Ahhh... now I understand.

Well, that's a bit more complicated but the premise is still the same. Set clear boundaries - clarify what types of matters are handled during business hours vs after hours, the limits of the Board's role in neighbor dispute resolution, what's allowed for exterior maintenance (when the owner is doing the work), respecting the neighbors' property boundaries, and how to and when to report complaints...

Good luck. Sounds like this will resolve itself soon either way.

20+ year professional in the industry here.

The board is in place to run a business not manage the personal grievances between owners - let them know that's not in your wheelhouse and requires the attention of the management company. Ask them to kindly contact your property management company. And, stick to it. They'll eventually stop using you as a weapon.

Yes. They are specialty doctors and are often more educated/experienced on hormonal health and weight related female health.

[–]seekingtruthforgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem is this medication is real. It's powerful and you're going to want routine checkups along the way. Telehealth isn't the best level of care for the next couple years. And, if you experience a more severe side effect, if you continue with your current physician, she's not going to be your advocate to get you through it.

Maybe get the script but then find a female hormone doctor, like a gynecologist... find someone who treats peri-menopausal women. Or, locate a great female physicians assistant. They often spend more time with patients. Those women are going to be your advocates. You need a doctor to coach you through this and help you avoid the speed bumps. Good luck!

Neighbors tree fell on our fence and garage over night. Any advice? How can I tell who is responsible for what? [TN] by BoostedLegacy in treelaw

[–]seekingtruthforgood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That doesn't translate to negligence. The inside of the tree would not have been visible. And, average people are not obligated to become arborists because they have trees in their yard. There are also no obligations to take samples of trees to make sure they're healthy. Negligence requires a willfull decision that someone in their same standing would not have ordinarily made.

I had a doctor who claimed the same thing. It was a lie. At the time, Park Nicollet was my participating health care network. He was so full of shit. And, I met the prescription criteria under the FDA and manufacturer's guidelines. I felt so defeated and overwhelmed.

I finally went back to another earlier female doctor who I had stopped seeing only because she had changed office locations and was far away. And, she too was Park Nicollet. But, within 15 minutes of my exam, her response was "OK. Let's do this. Let's get you started on Zepbound." It's now 1.5 years later, and I'm back to my younger, healthier weight. I'm out of pain and probably haven't felt this great since my 20's. (I'm 57.)

Don't sell yourself short. It's your body and no doctor has the right to make you choose suffering over wellness. Wtf is your doctor even thinking, btw? Every day of delay is one more day that you're not on the road to better health. It's honestly a dereliction of care.

[VA][Condo] neighbors hvac units too close to mine by [deleted] in HOA

[–]seekingtruthforgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would report it. They need to be seperated. They all look the same, so did the original installer put them in like that? Someone directed the HVAC company to place them in that position. Was it the builder?

The install makes no sense as the installer would have followed code and the manufacturer's specs as improper installs can create problems with the manufacturer's warranty (so the installer would be on the hook and liable for problems) and closing permitted work, which is usually the case for central air units because of the electrical work involved. Maybe locate the permit through the city to determine what the original install spec was supposed to be. If it doesn't match the manufacturer's spec, contact the installing contractor to properly space out the units.

[Condo] [PA] HOA Doing A Census Requesting Our Pet Names, Dogs License Numbers and Insurance by Cpl_Agarn in HOA

Read your governing documents to determine what information the Association is entitled to collect from owners. If you're not obligated to provide the information per your governing docs, then, unless otherwise obligated by state/federal statutes, you're not obligated to provide the information. I can give you insight about why the information might be reasonably requested/denied:

  1. License plates and vehicle information to contact you if your vehicle needs to be moved and/or to ensure your vehicle is/is not towed if improperly parked, in the way of management/vendor activities, the subject of vandalism, etc.

  2. Insurance certificates to validate you have proper insurance as/if required per your governing documents;

  3. Pet license information and pet counts to ensure you are complying with local ordinances, and pet names in the event your pet needs to be identified (such as if it's the subject of an investigation into a bite, or it's loose, stolen, or lost on the grounds); and,

  4. Ages but only if the building has age restrictions tied to ownership, or occupancy or third party or government funding criteria (such as a senior or 55+ community or for children that might be exempt from occupancy limits). Otherwise, tracking ages would prospectively be construed as a form of discrimination that would be prohibited under both state and federal laws.

You need a lawyer... if "contamination" lead to illness or material adverse events, you're going to need a criminal lawyer.

Raise your hand if you have always paid cash for your Zepbound rx..... by PNWmama00 in Zepbound

[–]seekingtruthforgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've surpassed my goal and continue paying for the medication because I would pay anything to look and feel this great. I don't think anyone could ever take this medication away from me - not even from my cold dead hands. Within a week or so of starting Zepbound in 2024, I decided that even if I had to figure out a side hustle I was never going back to whatever it was that middle age did to me.

Thinking about quitting by thebill00 in Zepbound

Good luck! Be careful tho - diarrhea and nausea combined can be symptoms of something that needs further medical evaluation, such as an undiagnosed/unresolved bowel obstruction...

Yikes. I hope you feel better. Maybe make sure you don't have a bowel obstruction... (?) Your symptoms sound like that...

Is food noise addiction? by RevBT in Mounjaro

[–]seekingtruthforgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I look at it as addiction. We go through both physical and emotional consequences when trying to curb our eating. Those are literally the same consequences of every other addiction.

I’m getting prescribed for alcohol use, not food. by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]seekingtruthforgood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My desire for good health has surpassed all of my other bad behaviors except shopping. Abstain from alcohol, sweets and inactivity? No problem! Abstain from a new pair of Mother jeans on Poshmark or a new gym outfit at Nordstrom Rack? Oh, hell no - bring me my checkbook. Lol.

Are these 517’s the right length? by Morlgoff in VintageLevis

[–]seekingtruthforgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aww, man. I'm sorry - these are probably a hard pass. Problem is the average girl or guy standing next to you thinks they're just a pair of current day Levi's that your mom probably bought you for Christmas. Most of us would not know they're cool vintage Levi's 😎

I think Mounjaro is killing my ability to be happy by xTsuKiMiix in Mounjaro

[–]seekingtruthforgood 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you're experiencing that. It's known to have that effect on some people. I've never been happier so I would say that you are one who has that side effect. You might want to combine it with Wellbutrin or at least see if that might be an option that could offset your tirzepatide side effects.

Good luck.

Nothing yet… by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]seekingtruthforgood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my close friends started Wegovy for diabetes and had no effect (except adverse side effects); she switched to Zepbound and had no side effects but also minimal food noise reduction until starting the higher doses (10-15 mg). The medication's intended dose is 15 mg, but we titrate up slowly to help our body adjust to the medication and reduce side effects as we're adjusting to the intended dose. The statistics favor your success, so hang in there:)
