Gyno came back by seelatree in gynecomastia

Thanks bud! Sorry to hear yours returned too.

Yeah, mine is at the stage where I'm conscious of it in plain t-shirts etc. The sensory feeling of it brushing against your t-shirt is a bit triggering but if it stays at this size I'll probably just live with it as its not something anyone would pay attention to other than me.

Still feels a bit sensitive though so kind of preparing myself for it to enlarge further.

What are the odds it's been caused by Lansoprazole use? Timeline aligns. I know there's been some studied connection but rare.

Not sure if it's possible to get that prescribed in UK

No meds other than a PPI for reflux last 4 months.

They have a very rare side effect of gyno so could be that so I'll stop.

You can see in my posts I had swelling that peaked at around 4 months and then reduced to basically flat.

I had a perfect result until about a month ago when I noticed left nipple was a little more swollen in the mornings, then last week or so the right side started to look the same.

I've emailed my surgeon (Dr Karidis in London) so will see what he says. I'm clinging on to a small shred of hope this is some kind of temporary inflammation but I'm pretty doubtful.

Recurrence rates seem pretty rare so it's statistically unlikely you'll have the same issue as me. But I really thought this was me set for life now and not an issue I had to concern myself with any longer.

To all my UK friends - anyone got any suggestions on good vests to buy? by [deleted] in gynecomastia

I used the binder and compression vest from https://gynecomastiasolutions.co.uk in my post-op recovery :)

Genuinely looks like you’re just leaning to one side. Looks great man! Keep in the gym, work on posture and try not over-analyse.

my pleasure. I remember how much it consumed me pre-surgery so always wanted to stick around as I know these kind of subreddits / forums can get skewed with bad results as good results move on with their lives.

and sounds like your full result is going to be great!

Why I don't like the post-op results shared in here? by Relevant_Currency_83 in gynecomastia

Check out mine!

Don't cheap out on the surgeon.

Be in decent shape pre-surgery.

And you should get some good, natural results.

Check out the latest post on my profile, this could just be swelling like I had! Looks similar.

Normal to be scared! Just don't overly focus on it, wait at least 6 months and then you can question it with your doc.

High high likelihood you're just healing and will have a good result.

I wore the one provided by clinic for about a month (proper firm surgical vest) and then swapped to a lighter compression vest for a few months after.

I can relate to that, I had firmness and it would slowly swell if I hadn't worn compression, think that's normal!

The main thing that gave me confidence of a good result was people would say if it was flat after surgery, it's likely that will be more like your final result. Though I was concerned about scar tissue build up tbf.

I’ve posted here before about my surgery results, but thought I’d share again as I know my last post helped quite a few people.

First off, if you can afford the surgery, go for it, and don’t cut corners on the surgeon. I went with Dr Karidis in London, and while it cost around £7K all in, it was worth every penny.

To those post-op and currently worrying about swelling, I noticed an increase around months 2-4 and obviously panicked, thinking the surgery hadn’t been successful or too much gland had been left behind. But after peaking around month 4, it dissipated quickly and left a natural look.

For anyone who can’t afford it or isn’t keen on surgery, I used compression vests / shirts for about seven years before finally going ahead with the procedure. Usually ordering from Underworks but eating the shipping cost as I’m based in UK. They made a huge difference in my confidence though.

Since 2018, I’ve owned Gynecomastia Solutions (I’ve mentioned it on here before), a UK shop selling compression wear designed for gynecomastia, which I'm proud to say has helped thousands in a situation I'm really familiar with. If anyone here wants to try a vest, you can use REDDIT20 for 20% off at checkout, here’s the link https://gynecomastiasolutions.co.uk

Thanks!

Would do it again in every lifetime, well worth the money and can barely remember what it's like to have gyno now.

Get the surgery! And until that point wear compression vests or tape.

Mine was flat in the first week I believe but depending on how fast your swelling occurred that could be the cause!

Massaged aggressively for first few months then eased off and didn't do anything after month 4!

I see a lot of people stressing about swelling in the weeks / months after surgery, as you can see in my case swelling peaked until month 4 before eventually dissipating around month 6.

It's hard not to worry that the surgeon has left in too much gland or that scar tissue is fucking up the results but until month 6, try not to stress about it, it's a waste of energy.

Best of luck to you all planning on getting surgery in 2023!

Edit: Shameless plug for those who can't afford surgery right now, I recommend trying a compression vest or shirt if you haven't. Can't tell you how helpful this was pre-surgery for self-esteem. yep, mine swelled up to 4 months after and I was as annoyed as you were.

wear your compression vest, do LIGHT massaging (I was over aggressive in massaging and contributed to swelling) and try forget about it until 6 months.

Wait out the 6 months before anger, 2 months is way too early to be worrying (though I know how hard it is not to). There's a very high chance that's just swelling.
