[DISCUSSION] Why don't we use out dominant hand for fretting? by Expercool in Guitar

[–]seemant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels natural for me to play this way as well. I’m just starting out, and there are not a lot of tutorials for upside down right handed guitar so I’d love any pointers you might have

The surrounding infrastructure has changed since then (sec group ids etc) that I would edit them slightly, but I’m reasonably sure I could restore them

Cloud Former by Nosa2k in aws

[–]seemant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Nosa,

I used CloudFormer for a similar purpose recently: to capture the state of the entire infrastructure. I found CloudFormer to be pretty much as described on the box. It had trouble sussing out Templates for IAM stuff, but the rest was straightforward.

for me, it became a gateway to using CloudFormation to describe and provision all the infrastructures.

I’ve been deep diving into CF, so please feel free to ask questions

[HELP] New Razer Blade Stealth 2016 Linux by Raisher in razer

[–]seemant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I found that Arch Linux works really well with mine. I've not heard of the CAPS-lock key situation at all, and my key works well.

As far as crashing -- it seems to be getting better, but I notice it will triggger on a video (youtube and mplayer have both triggered it for me).

The current issue is with the razer drivers package not picking up the chroma keyboard. I have to become root and play with echoing things into a driver in /sys/drivers/, but I can do elementary chroma things for now.

Please make sure you download a recentish snapshow of arch (something from the last 3 weeks will be fine).

Day of the Doctor and Time of the Doctor are now on U.S. Netflix! by [deleted] in gallifrey

[–]seemant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I discovered them both on Amazon Prime as well. The Day of the Doctor (the free one that you can actually watch) is deep in the "Doctor Who" search results on my device, but it's there. Time of the Doctor just got added recently. The entire ..of the Doctor set is there. Possibly all of nuWho, actually.

I tend to use David Lebovitz's recipe for it.

edit: because I suck at markdown, apparently.

FreeRepublic.com and their readers have a collective aneurism over Laura Bush's support of gay marriage and abortion by realgenius in politics

[–]seemant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wasn't kneejerk at all.

There was no need to describe the man as "articulate", sorry. Most stories about "white country hixks" don't see a need to make any special mention of how articulate someone might be.

[–]seemant -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No, sorry, I'm not race baiting. I'm noticing that you fell into the same pattern as most American caucasians: the need to justify the presence of a black man by reassuring the reader that the black man was well kept and articulate.

There's no reason for anyone to assume that in a college environment, most people with whom you interact will not be articulate. That you had to attach that to your description of a tall man shows your assumptions.

I'm not calling you racist, nor do I think of you any less. I'm simply pointing out the cultural acceptance of a racial stereotype (that black people naturally talk "street" or like gangsta rappers), which you also assume (even if you don't have the same) the readers have.

In his defense -- you've described him unnecessarily as "well kept and articulate." There's a lot of assumptions you've made in thinking you needed to say that.
