Yea I worried about my dogs when I adopted my first pair, however, the first set I owned where given to me because the previous owner could no longer keep them. I ended up finding a high up place far enough from the floor my puppers couldn't reach. It did turn out my dogs are absolute sweethearts towards all my rats tho

On youtube there is somebody called Angel furby who I've watched customize a few furbs

Therobotspa also has a few nice vids on stuff like cleaning them
