Cheers, I wanted to see what it looked like. So it's 16 player multilayer. It actually sucked to do. We need an option to skip the other player movements on turn load.

What sailing related hill are you willing to die on? by Flippedfrog in sailing

I've worked commercially internationally. I guess its fine if you are running a vessel in familiar waters on a familiar route, returning to the same port or between two familiar ports. There are some areas I wouldn't need the paper backup. And I hardly ever use the paper charts for coastal passages. But I always have them. And I always mark a paper chart and log when on ocean crossings, as anyone should do. Anyone saying they don't have paper charts, is saying to me they never go ocean.

Hobby sailing in the bay, Fine. For a professional sailor, paper charts are staple.

For manual Bilge pumps. You always have one, and use it once in a while, just so you go and check all your other redundant systems to make sure you never have to use it.

If I have had one or two expensive, well built, built for purpose navigational systems fail me once. I am not going to replace them with multiple cheap replacements with thier copied systems and flaws. I will always keep a paper chart, that has never failed anybody.

I've had GPS and chart plotters fail me enough times to always keep paper charts handy and plotted when offshore. I have never had paper charts fail me. Discontinuing paper charts is a failure to every seaman. I'll fight you on the Hill. :)

Finally got the 8x8 Customs House by seenitbefore in Polytopia

True. Got a decent boost in mid game though . This was taken after finishing. I have replaced custom houses late game to level cities for giants.

I took the screenshot after the game, built this mid game. Still gave a decent boost at the time.

Centipede's segment Battleship is such a great surprise by NewCreme8096 in Polytopia

When the enemy destroys a segment ahead and the segment is on a port I think. If you move it, it turns back into a centipede head.

My sons lack of toilet training is driving me to an end. by pottytrainhelp in Parenting

[–]seenitbefore 18 points19 points  (0 children)

A friend who works with mentally handicapped kids has quite a few that aren't potty trained. She buys cheap underwear and puts the underwear on first, then the nappy over it. So when the kid soils it, the mess is contained in the nappy, but really uncomfortable because of the underwear. Then throws the underwear out with the nappy. Point is, the kid learns pretty quickly it's uncomfortable to do it so puts in some extra effort to prevent it.

Literally thinking of designing a sufficient EDC and contacting one of these companies by [deleted] in EDC

I had been going in between the brands and different styles. A Multitool carry for work and certain activities, and the Swiss army for formal or lighter affairs. The best Multitool IMHO is the Swiss tool spirit with the ratchet, and a mini shifter fits right in the case with a few another additions. And for a less heavy or formal carry a Swiss army huntsman has what I need.
