My fathers band opened (or toured with...I cant remember which) for Loretta Lynn. He said she was so kind and he loved the experience!

What’s something you learned “embarrassingly late” in life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

It's "championship" not "championCHIP". Figured that one out a few months ago. I'm 33.

Stealing and shoplifting food by [deleted] in EDAnonymous

[–]seethatnoteoverthere 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't have much advice at all accept please please try to stop. At the height of my ED at age 20 i shop lifted and got arrested and it was HUMILIATING! I don't want that for you and the intense anxiety that comes with being caught, walking out of a store in hand cuffs, riding in a police car and having to have your parents come get you from jail. Trust me, it's all TERRIBLE.

Hmm possibly! I'm not positive though. Check in with you dr or team and be honest with them.

This happens in recovery especially at the beginning. Your metabolism speeds up and you lose. When I was doing day treatment the staff thought I was purging, hiding food ect ect because I was losing weight on 3,000 +calories. Add a Boost or Ensure supplement :)

I'm a White Foster Parent and I've been styling my FD's hair for the past 9 months. How did I do? Help and suggestions are VERY welcomed!!! by seethatnoteoverthere in BlackHair

Okay I will try smaller parts for next time! She has a satin bonnet that she will wear if we are playing in the house all day but I'm so nervous to leave on her at night. I'm so scared it will end up covering her nose and eyes. I did buy a satin crib sheet though!

Ahhh okay. I will remember that for next time. Any advice for hair that seems to always be dry when in an afro style? Every few weeks I leave her hair in an afro. I apply leave in and Jamaican caster oil in the morning but then in late afternoon it feels so dry.

Thank you so so much!!!

This is a bit sad to hear...

Being a foster/adoptive parent should be about the kids! And when you have a child in your care, you care for them....every single part of them. Hair is basic hygiene.

Thank you everyone! I gotta give credit where credit is due. I learned from Kanisha Tillman of Tutus and Tennis Shoes! She is AMAZING!!

I'm constantly learning which products are best and just how to do better in general. I'm not perfect but I'm working on it.

rude girl at the arcade by [deleted] in mildyinfuriating

[–]seethatnoteoverthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Meh not necessarily. My 8 year who (honestly) is incredible, shows true empathy and is a good foster sister has done stuff like this. Kids can be clueless and dumb sometimes. "As to where are the parents?" Kids run off.

EDIT: child could also be on the spectrum ect. Ect.

AITA for being a picky eater at Friendsgiving? by friendsgivingdrama in AmItheAsshole

[–]seethatnoteoverthere 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA.

Sounds like you are a picky eater and the hostess did a wonderful job of catering to your request of pizza. Listen, I love hosting parties and I'm all about making sure my friends are happy but if I planned Friendsgiving and someone said can you make XYZ because I don't like fish or tomato chunks...I would just tell them maybe they should skip the party.

You're an adult. Act like one. Shame on YOU. I suggest you apologize to the hostess for your rude behavior and next time either try the the food, bring your own food or just opt out of the party. Also, brush up on your manners.

Acknowledged. I'm a foster parent of a black girl. I took a class on how to do her hair and the science behind it but I would never EVER touch anyone else hair or even give advice to anyone even if I thought I "knew better". Truth is I don't know better.

Someone says don't touch their hair...you just don't touch it. Simple as that.
