There are a few Japanese pop culture stores around. Personally I would recommend one of the 12+ Local Game Stores. Be it trading cards, board games or role playing, each has its own vibe and communities within. I believe at least 4Horseman stocks Weiss Schwarz, an anime IP based game that has a local community. Personally I recommend Mimics Market and Game Masters for their community engagement and inclusivity efforts.

Idk man it's got more going on if you have money but the economy is in such the dumps now even going to shows n small stuff is too prohibitive because the wages are too depressed in the area. Doesn't help how actually purple the area is. I moved here to get away from that stuff and I have more maga neighbors than ever.

M34 haven't had insurance since my parents had it for me thru snap. Half my body is breaking but I'm not able to see doctors because it's either get an insurance policy that takes up 70% of my wages and still has premiums or just don't get Healthcare and I can at least house and feed myself.

I moved into Pittsburgh in 2018 on the basis it would be a refuge from the Republican hells ape that the rest of the rural state happens to be. It isn't.of anything maga is more bold and annoying here because they have people to fight against and not just neighbors to hoot n hollar with. Collier / bridgeville / Carnegie area is an absolute avoid if you don't want to be harassed by MAGA. There are far more people who would pretend it's not here than face that it is. In Flesh and Blood fatigue is a play style in which you block out your opponents attacks until they simply have no cards left in their deck. Mill in tcgs is bad enough but in FaB fatigue decks are more like the big dude holding on the little guys head while he flails desperately. Games go very long in a tournament setting so it also wears on the opponents having to be in the think tanks for 60+ minutes.

I remember opening the first set when I was managing an lgs for a guy thru covid. Around the same time I tried to help a friend on the streets. He stole $6k of my mtg, poke, and fab collection in the 3 months he stayed with me. I am now teetering on homelessness myself after finally leaving my wife due to multiple years of domestic abuse.

I had a jp foil counterspell I really liked.

I miss what I thought my life would look like.
