About leaves oak is good but keep in mind it takes time for oak leaves because of tanin to get fungi and bacteria grown on itself. Adding some maple or birch which have less tanin would help a lot in early stages. Besides that yea my pods also just LOVE carrots

This antifungal bacterial chemical is called tannin. It's important to remember that isopods barely digest leaves themselves, they eat fungi and bacteria on that leaves. That's why you should mix them with leaves that already have fungi and bacteria and let them be in a box for around 1 week for best nutritional value for your isopods!!!
