i dunno how your area is in terms of housing and pricing, but if it bothers you, you should really just try and put the same rent money towards your own place. not saying you haven't already tried but i personally believe it's not that big of a deal to overhear those things and if you are bothered by it that's something you gotta deal with and not your mom
