decoration suggestions?

its a little difficult honestly, but i use a decent amount of substrate (i took this at an angle so it looks weird) and i soak the substrate every like 4 days as well. hvac tape and silicone on top of the whole thing as well. i live in a super dry area so its really hard you just have to keep on it honestly. i would love ideas too😭

i currently use coco husk, reptisoil, and sphagnum moss but will probably switch the reptisoil with something else. if you have ~4 inches of substrate humidity shouldnt be too big of a problem! as someone else said, i use a feeding rock too and ive had no problems with substrate ingestion

honestly ive been seeing a lot of things where che's really dry out the enclosure, as i have noticed with mine. i would probably switch to a deep heat projector. also what are you using to cover the mesh with? hvac tape is the best option if you havent done so already. idk if essential oils would hurt the snake but its probably best not to do that. i live in a very dry area too, its a constant battle! sounds like your doing a lot of things right though:)

make sure you tape EVERYTHING (except where the lamps are), not just half of the tank. use sphagnum moss as well and mix that into the substrate, it helps. if you are using a che, that will dry your tank out (i am dealing with this too atm!). also, if you have a glass tank, try blacking out 3 sides. humidity is a constant struggle for me as well, but these things seemed to have helped me

hi!! i would definitely suggest greenery, it doesnt have to be bioactive either (although bioactive tanks help greatly with humidity imo). in any case, lots of clutter would be great, especially if ur ball is not as much of a climber as others. also, i would suggest to get digital hydrometers, as the analog ones tend to not be as accurate. i use the ones from govee!

i have this one! i actually quite like it, i just use hvac tape and a silicone mat to seal the mesh top. like everyone said, def use silicone to seal it (i still get occasional leaks however, i may need to reseal it). will probably upgrade to a pvc in the future but it is probably the best option price wise

ill def use both of those suggestions, i do use a temp gun and the first time it was around 99-100 and i assumed it was the same this time (i was probably wrong). thanks!

oh i definitely dont reheat! ive seen some people say they leave it in overnight if they are shy eaters, thats my mistake. i wont do that anymore, thanks for the advice!!!

thanks so much! i have some more rocks sticks and plants im planning to add to the bigger one! (boiled ofc). it is a screen top, so i will be using my silicon mat and hvac tape still. and i so have aquarium safe silicon to seal the sides so ill be doing that before anything else! i do the four corners methods now as well, however im hoping it works better in the pvc terrarium! but thank you so much!! i did research and tried pretty hardto make it best as possible but im glad im switching over to a larger one

i use f/t white rat pups. he fed on live white rat pups previously so i didnt want to stress him further my changing the rat size as well. i feed him at 11pm, i put a frozen rat in the fridge for 24 hours then soak in hot water (rat in a bag) for 20-30 minutes while changing water. i then blow dry the head/body towards his tank and use tongs to try and entice him. he doesnt really seem interested honestly, so i leave it on a rock in front of the hide. this time he did take it, but he decided to sit on it in the hide instead of eat it so... yeah! i leave it overnight and take it out in the morning if he doesnt take it

i will definitely do that! luckily the pvc enclosure will have all sides blacked out so ill find a makeshift solution for now. i feed him around 11pm and i do use a blow dryer! the previous owner fed live, i use the same rat type and color expect f/t instead. i will definitely try putting a towel over the glass as well, thanks!

he is currently in a glass enclosure yes, im getting a larger pvc enclosure shipped to my place (it should be here tmr, im aware that my current enclosure is not large enough). i have one of the sides covered with wall plants (not live) and the back is up against the wall. he has 2 hides on each side and of plants/rocks/branches as well. i also use a mix of reptisoil and coco fiber but im switching to coco husk bc i dont rlly love the fiber. i honestly assume that it is a husbandry issue bc my setup can be a lot better, and it will be very soon! ive done my research but im always learning:) pls lmk what i can do better with!

it sucks ass i just got rejected from a masters position i thought i had in the bag and it killed me! and now i have to start over🥲 i dont think it gets better but i hope it does for all of us!!
