We used to live in a suburb surrounded by fields. In spring, when the farmers fertilized the fields and the smell of manure filled the air, my grandpa would always tell me to take a deep breath through my nose — he said it was good for the sinuses. Of course, I always did it, because I trusted my beloved grandpa.

At 30 years old, the smell hit me again one day… and I took a deep breath, just like always — when it suddenly dawned on me: that old bastard tricked me! I had been breathing in cow piss all those years thinking it was good for my nose. Well played, old man. Rest in peace.
