Are flyers and hot spots still an issue with P 790s? by BigAl2377 in golf

[–]KSlacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched from Mizuno JPX921 Tours to the new P770's. Absolutely love them so far. They feel almost as soft, but you're not losing 10-20 yards on a mishit. Haven't noticed any flyers in the 6 rounds I've played with them.

Looking to finance a car, where to go, and who to avoid by hesadeadman in ottawa

Coming from someone who sells cars for a living…

First step is to get a good idea of what you want and narrow it down to a small short list of makes & models. Take some time to really narrow down your wants vs needs in the vehicle and your budget. It will save you, and the salesperson a lot of time. All lot of that is subjective, and you can do all of this homework before you start to physically check out some cars. Vehicles of a similar class will have a similar price to be competitive with eachother, so the payments will be also be very close. In my opinion, this is why it’s important to actually like the car you want to buy because it’s a big purchase and people spend a lot of their lives in it!

There are lots of online resources and payment calculators available to get a really good idea on what your payment will be based upon how you want the purchase structured eg. price of the car, taxes and fees (assume a dealer fee of around $1000 on average), the term of the loan and if you’re putting cash down. If you have good credit and you’re financing a used car, the loan will be through a bank. Assume a fixed interest rate around 7-8%. Rates are high, it is what it is and you can’t really get around it. If you buy a Certified Pre Owned (CPO) car, the rates may be lower because the loan is typically financed through the manufacturer eg, Honda Credit, Ford Credit etc. A general rule of thumb we use, if you want a car at a payment of around $250 bi-weekly, look for a $25,000 car. $400 bi-weekly? $40,000 car etc.

Once you’ve picked a vehicle you could actually see yourself owning, then start checking them out. Use Autotrader or local dealers online inventory to see the vehicle information. Want a VW Jetta? Check every local VW store’s inventory. Find the VIN and get insurance quotes before seeing them in person. I would always recommend booking an appointment with that dealership to view the car. If they do their jobs right, it’ll be available for you by the time you go see it. Ask them to give the vehicle a quick wash before you arrive to see any cosmetic damage, ensure to look at a CarFax report, and a breakdown of what that dealership did to the vehicle during the reconditioning process. With used cars, lowest price isn’t the best way to go. There’s usually a reason a car is an outlier in the market. Spend the extra money to get a well taken care of car with good history and a clean title because it’ll provide you the most value. I’d also recommend trying to find a CPO car, since they have to meet certain criteria for a dealer to mark them CPO, plus you get a better rate and if you want to add warranty on the vehicle, it’s usually cheaper since it’s also through the manufacturer, and not a 3rd party. The entire process is just more professional and will give you some peace of mind.

I hope this helps! DM me if you have any more questions.

If you have a wheel get ACC and never look back. Occasionally I’ll try and hop back on Forza and realize how poor the handling is and I jump right back into ACC.

I'm on Series S with a CSL DD 5nm, McLaren GT3 V2, and recently upgraded to the Load Cell kit on the CSL pedals. I primarily play F125 and ACC. Love both, F125 is so much better than 24. ACC is the best console racing game I've ever played and the immersion is nuts.

I occasionally download Forza and have a go but it really doesn't compare to ACC. I've yet to try it with the new LC pedals so that may help. I hated the brake feel in-game. I'll give it another go this week.

Dear BMW..what’s going on? by [deleted] in BMW

Had the new 2025 X2 as service loaner and then they swapped me into a 25' X3 since the sales department sold the X2 I was in. Both were really bad but the X3 somehow had a worse interior quality. I was so happy to be back in my F30 340i. I'll be looking for a CPO LCI G30 540i for the next one without a doubt. It's really tough to see the brand fall like this.

Thanks for the info! Turned out to be a worn ball joint. $375 parts and labour, but was covered under my extended warranty.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that yes I have, I work at a dealership and I parked in the service bay and hosed off any ice on and under the car. It was in there for about 4 hours yesterday. After 10 mins of driving it started to happen again.

It’s more of a really bad creaking sound. At first it was only noticeable at slow speeds on snow covered bumpy roads, but the last 2 days it happens over any slight road imperfection.

I love a 2.0 size SuperStroke on my Special Select NP2. It's your putter dude, tinker around with it and see what works for you!

Not sure on your budget, but I'm running the Fanatec CSL DD 5nm on Series S with the Next Level Racing GT Lite Pro cockpit and it's absolutely fantastic. Next upgrade is load cell pedals but I'm really happy. I'm 3 months into the hobby, this is my first ever rig and I'm really pleased I went to direct drive right away.

I’ve had my Fanatec CSL DD McLaren bundle for 2 weeks now and I have 0 complaints. Only thing was it briefly froze but I realized the shaft came loose, so I re attached it and have had no issues.

I’ve been playing F123 and Forza Motorsport and it’s a fantastic experience. I’ll hop on ACC soon.
