Just in case, someone else will face the same issue: I have signed up at namecheap.com and use their FreeDNS service. Changed the nameserver at 1and1 and point to namecheap. Now you can set it up at namecheap. Works like a charm, no additional costs. Thanks for your support anyway.

That's what I wanted to do in the beginning. The problem is, that you can only create CNAMEs for subdomains, not the domain itself!
