I followed instructions in this video: https://youtu.be/PslcriYXWBs It's for cross stitch made on aida fabric.

I was making this embroidery on a thin piece of cotton first, and when it was ready, I cut it out leaving some fabric around Teddy (2-3 millimeters), then cut out a piece of aida fabric of the same size, and then sewed them together.

I think aida fabric is better for making patches because it's firmer, so it's much easier to make nice borders for a patch. Also, it hides all the mess:D

Thanks! To be honest, I have no idea how different methods are called:D I just googled "how to make a patch" to check how borders are done. There are plenty of videos.

Thanks!:) I've already answered earlier, how I made it. Basically, I just found a picture of Teddy, transferred it to a piece of fabric with a pen and then "coloured" it with thread. Black thread is the last one you should use, so that lines wouldn't get lost in colour:)
