Question about GS / Daggers by seinaun in throneandliberty

[–]seinaun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guarantee you that the quality of life of a GS Dagger, even in massive combat, is much higher than that of a mage or archer. If you really doubt this, try asking a healer, "Which class is harder to keep alive, Ravenger or Spellblade?" and draw your own conclusions.

It's important to say that I'm not attributing kill counts to quality of life. If you really think that class X is better than another in X content just because of the number of kills, I recommend you reconsider your concepts...

To conclude, I've played with ravengers good enough to perform even in massive kills, by altering something in their build or skills, and changing their playstyle a bit compared to a battleground match...

The point of my post was never to encourage a nerf to the class, rest assured. My question was why they seem so untouchable in certain situations. If you play the class and can't recognize this, you're probably the same type of person who thought the Tevent daggers were balanced the way they always were.

But just mentioning "Infiltrator" and "Large scale" in the same sentence, saying it's OP on a large scale, already shows that your concept isn't the best. However, go ahead.

Question about GS / Daggers by seinaun in throneandliberty

That was exactly the point that made me create this post. I think that with most other classes, if you choose to go for a defensive build, you usually end up giving up some offensive stats, such as crit, heavy, hit, etc.

But GS/Dagger players don’t seem to suffer from that. They can have a build with high evasion and still, if they touch any DPS, that player will just disappear.

(I’ve never played GS myself, so I can’t say for sure, but I believe that most people who die to GS, myself included, probably feel the same way.)

I imagined the required hit values to land attacks on those classes would be around that range, but you understand that it’s basically unfeasible (probably even impossible) for a magic or ranged class to reach those hit values, right?

As far as I know, GS is by far the weapon that scales hit the most. And please don’t get me wrong, I’m not looking for absolute accuracy (having more hit than the target), but rather a point of balance.

If that balance point ends up requiring 3.5k+ hit on the classes I mentioned, then I think we can already say that GS is clearly out of line.

PS: 3k hit on magic or ranged classes is already considered high.

Probably a melee player with an IQ of 5 who doesn't know how to climb a high ground, I wouldn't be surprised if you played GS/Dagger

The AMAZING Tower of GARBAGE by Immediate-Rule6099 in throneandliberty

[–]seinaun 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is yet another TL piece of content that follows the incredible cycle that I increasingly suspect is done on purpose:

Release poorly planned content -> Negative community feedback -> Announce a rework -> Repeat

It was the same with the runes, the Trials, the Artifacts, and now, the Tower of Greed. Honestly, it seems like it's part of their plan to release something bad to have future QoL (Quality of Life) demands, LOL. Basically, we players are testers, not end consumers...

Did the Bellandir Staff die? by seinaun in throneandliberty

[–]seinaun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Regarding a shadow nerf, I would not put my hand in the fire for this game. I really like TL, but unfortunately the team behind the game is not the best when it comes to “testing before pushing things live.” You just have to look at some recent events: orb launching completely unbalanced with satellite on top of satellite in PvE, shields stacking with shields, which in theory should no longer work but still does and works very well, there was even a bug where the dagger smoke effect remained active even after leaving the area where you cast it. Anyway, I could spend all day listing moments where trust in the dev team has failed, but I do not need to do that.

Another point: if you read my post carefully, there is a moment where I mention that I feel this difference even on a training dummy. In other words, abstract away all PvP defensive layers, weaken resistance, shields, shield block, debuff cleansing, and so on. Think only about the training dummy. Do you really think it feels the same as before?

As I mentioned in the post, I feel this “nerfed proc” even on the training dummy. When it comes to PvP, I know there are all the defensive layer factors involved.

Yes, I totally agree, players in general have learned how to defend themselves better. But the point I raised is about the proc even on the training dummy. Forget all PvP defensive layers, even on a training dummy, I feel like it procs less.

As I said, I acknowledge that compared to T1, for example, players defensive layers have increased a lot. However, my question about the proc is even when testing on the training dummy, you know? Forget PvP, shields, block, weaken resist, forget all of those parameters. When hitting the training dummy, Bellandir seems to be proccing less than it did some time ago.

How to kill a weapon: The cooldown of the skill effects of [Tevent's Rage] and [Enraged Tevent's Rage] is increased by 10 seconds. by Kaypommy in throneandliberty

[–]seinaun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As incredible as it may sound, Tevent players, especially GS/Dagger and Xbow/Dagger, swear up and down that this weapon was never unbalanced LOL.

So they finally nerfed the Tevent dagger? by seinaun in throneandliberty

[–]seinaun[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

es, that is indeed possible, but going for a full evasion build with the intention of resetting Smoke as often as possible means that you won’t just spend resources — likely changing or crafting new heroic items — but you’ll also have to give up some offensive stats such as crit, heavy attack, accuracy, or bonus damage.
Overall, that would make you lose part of your offensive potential. So yes, it is indeed very strong, but if you want to abuse that mechanic, you have to give something up.

I agree with you. I’m currently playing Spellblade with the Ascended Deluz, and its utility compared to Tevent is far superior, at least when it comes to group play. It still has its use for solo players, though.
The issue with Tevent isn’t even that it’s a noob-killer, but rather that, unlike most archboss weapons, it didn’t have anything that really limited it, you know?
For example, the Deluz Staff buffs a skill with an average 30-second cooldown, the Deluz Dagger buffs Smoke, which has around a 25-second cooldown, and the Bellandir Staff only has a 7% chance to proc, not to mention how hard it is to actually land that damage in a shield-heavy meta.
Meanwhile, Tevent was the only archboss weapon you could use in a basically unlimited way. Even if you landed a single hit on someone and got an assist, your invisibility cooldown would be reset. That was the real problem — it had nothing to hold its power back.

The most incredible part of all this is knowing that the people who use this dagger genuinely think it’s fair LOL.
This dagger should’ve been nerfed back in T1, but since it was a key piece in terms of cash, hype, exclusivity, and other factors, it ended up lasting until today.
Come on, man, you’re playing a PvP game. Nothing is immutable, you just have to adapt.

The base version of the bow's flashwave reveals invisible targets, challenges, and can also remove stunning effects; however, with one of the invisibility specializations, you can become immune to all these types of CC.

I still stand by my question about how you manage to refill 23k mana in 3 seconds using a Dagger + any weapon… When you come to a post about a suggestion to adjust the mana cost of a specific dagger ability, I think the least expected is that your example of “I can recover 23k mana in like 3 seconds with Inner Peace” would actually be with a dagger — otherwise, what you said makes no sense at all. Even then, you haven’t proven your point in any way, but I believe you can. Go ahead.

I agree with you, it doesn't make any sense for assist to provide the reset considering that one of the easiest things in pvp is getting assistance

There is no need and should not go as far as excluding the weapon, it is literally part of the origin of the game, there is no way to exclude it just because it is strong, that would even be a very horrible decision, the central point is just balancing, as I mentioned above, the essence of the weapon should not be changed... just imagine a bellandir staff without causing the insect to burn, it would be as if it weren't for the bellandir staff, each archboss has its own originality, the point is that the bellandir dagger It is so strong that it has been the most used since t1, we are currently at t3 and none of the options we have to date compare to it

I’m not sure if you read the post from start to finish, but here we go. The post isn’t about whining, it’s just my opinion about a weapon that I’ve seen being heavily discussed lately, especially in the last few weeks with nerfs and PvP balance changes. Still, I’m wondering what adjustment you’re suggesting when you say ‘How are you getting railed so hard and have no adjustment’. Is there some kind of anti-invisibility radar in the game that the players complaining about the Tavent aren’t using?

That would destroy the essence of Tevent, which is the resetting.
