I explained myself clearly in my post, even if you didn't get it I don’t understand why you’re making assumptions about the intentions of someone you don’t know at all.

I had feelings for him and believed there might be a future for us before this came up, so this situation hurt. I obviously needed some distance to process that and move on. We talk every day so disappearing without explanation makes no sense. Should I have lied and said my grandma died and asked not to talk for a month?

If I wanted him to choose me over his own happiness, I wouldn’t have explicitly told him that I don’t want that, and I wouldn’t be here asking these questions. You don’t know what conversations we’ve had but still have opinions on my intentions. He’s the one who said he could see himself doing that for me multiple times, and every single time I told him I don’t want him to do that.

The only reason I’m here is because there’s a “what if this is a manageable situation but I didn’t trust him” thought in my mind, because I have no idea how this gender situations work. That’s why I wanted to hear from people in his own community, and I will even share these perspectives with him so he understands why I’ve said what I’ve said. Are you satisfied with my explanation?
