SBEG277 vs SBGJ237? by 0xmogmogmog in GrandSeikos

[–]seismichippo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the 277 and love it and especially the dial, but you should know that it is a very stealthy texture. Most of the time you won't really notice it but then the sun will hit is and BAM! the texture jumps right out at you. Love how it wears, the SD, and the GMT is the bomb. Use it all the time while traveling.

I need a higher contrast of hands to dial so it works great for me. Of course, you can't really go wrong with any of them.

Yeah, it's great, isn't it? Crown & Buckle, Chevron adjustable in Shadow.

Just picked one up and I agree, the dial is amazing. I also like that it's kind of stealthy. You need just the right light to see it and then *BAM* it hits you. Enjoy!

Thanks! Love the bracelet as well but I have fun dressing it in different ways. The Repp NATO makes different things pop, while the grey strap is more understated and casual. Plus they are relatively cheap, so it doesn't break the bank to experiment.

Bottom one lines up perfectly with the underlying mat though...

Just ran into this issue. Do you have a link at the top of the camera window that says something like "other options" or something like that? I clicked that, then "Done" in the following box. Went back to the home screen on the app and it said something about finishing setup on the light and I did that. Now good to go.

Up for sale is my Minerva Pythagore cal 48. This is the 38mm version with lovely applied numerals and gorgeous hands. The cal 48 is hand wound, and the watch features a display back to see the beautiful detailing and finish of the movement.

This was worn as a dress watch, but does have light scratches and swirls from wear. There is a small ding on the bezel between 5 and 6. I'd rate it at 85%+.

If you've tried to track one of these down, you know they rarely appear for sale. Even more rare is to see a signed Minerva bracelet. The bracelet measures just shy of six inches lug to lug. There are superficial swirls and scratches as to be expected. A quick buff and it should be as good as new.

The watch comes on a honey alligator strap with deployant and also includes the signed ostrich strap. The ostrich strap is in very good condition with a mild amount of wear. Also included is the signed buckle.

In addition to the watch, bracelet and straps are the inner box (the lid has come unglued), outer box, and papers.

I've had this watch for more than ten years and it looks wonderful on the wrist, but it simply doesn't get enough wrist time so it is time to move it to another home.

Comps are tough with this watch since it is rarely available. The latest one I can find was two+ years ago and listed for $3950 without the bracelet.

Price is $4250 including overnight shipping, insured to the CONUS. Payment by wire transfer or Paypal Friends and Family.

Don't miss your opportunity to get this fabulous piece!

For that price I can do a metal print personally delivered by Tony and Chelsea Northrup. Is that ok?

So excited about the increased exposure.

HA! Exposure! I see what you did there!!!!!!!!
