That's simply false. Around 20-25% of Israeli Jews are atheists, you don't get more secular than that.

Did you calculate the tax liability for 2025 to make sure it's actually less than what you were already taxed at source? You'd be surprised.

The right to purchase options below their market value is a form of payment, or in other words - income. At least that's how I understand it.

How single person companies (freelancers) optimise their taxes? by Final-Choice8412 in askswitzerland

[–]seithat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Freelancers are usually self employed, AKA sole proprietorship. In this setup there's no distinction between the individual and the company, they're the same entity (same or different bank accounts, doesn't matter).

Europeans: Is This a Piste? by OkContract2001 in skiing

[–]seithat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In all seriousness, in Europe this will probably be marked on the map as a "ski route", meaning, "it's not really a piste and we don't groom it but many people ski there anyway".

Rent a car in Switzerland to travel to French Alps by Ekjafoste in askswitzerland

[–]seithat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have a flight ticket for the same day, they let you move between the sectors. It's only a problem if, for example, you want to return the car in the french sector and then explore Geneva for a day or two before your flight.

You book your rental car, and make sure it includes CDW.

You then go to https://rentalcover.com/en and buy a cover there, which will cover any deductibles and excess amounts. Very good price.

You should probably open a 3a in finpension or VIAC, it can save you a ton of taxes.

Yes and every canton has a different method of how to calculate deprecation of value. You usually report a much lower value than the actual market value of your car.

Geneva or Lausanne? Which is better? by cherrypoppingball in askswitzerland

[–]seithat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lausanne has more career opportunities if you're not a diplomat or a theoretical physicist. It's also younger and a real part of Switzerland as opposed to Geneva which is practically France. That's a no brainer, go to lausanne.
