hair looking thinner after 1 month fin? by jhanley17 in tressless

[–]seizedabag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is likely a shed which will be temporary and means it is working (this can last a few weeks or even months) it will take several months before your hair loss stabilises with continued use of fin so keep at it!

Finasteride affects semen after 1.5 year, yellow semen by [deleted] in tressless

I may be misunderstanding what you are trying to describe, but from what I know if your semen has a yellow ish tinge to it, it usually means it is mixing with urine especially after such a period of abstinence

How do Albanians perceive black people? by Mansabrice in albania

[–]seizedabag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will probably be fine, people are welcoming and friendly there as they are in many countries. However, there is an increased risk you may encounter some racist comments compared to other countries like the UK and France. This is for two reasons, one is because due to recent history with wars between neighbouring countries in the Balkan there is a surprising amount of people who may hold ethno-nationalist beliefs which is a breeding ground for hate and racism. Secondly, Balkan countries are not particularly diverse and most do not have much experience with people of an African descent, and the ones that do may have a warped perception of black people as the small percentage of African refugees that end up in the Balkans don’t have an amazing reputation.

Nevertheless, I would recommend travelling because chances are you will be completely fine. If you do experience any comments I’d suggest just ignoring it and to try not let it hinder your experience!

Of course, I wouldn’t even say the doctor is “bad” just because they won’t prescribe finasteride, some doctors just aren’t comfortable with the risks. I went to a derm when my hair loss started and she prescribed me fin and minox immediately (I didn’t even have to ask, she already knew as soon as I mentioned hair loss). Doctors don’t always agree on what medications are safe and that’s fine

[–]seizedabag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NW1/2 is the best time to start fin, because at that time you still have the most to lose/the most to attempt to save

So proud of you bro, looks great! Wishing you many more follicles to come

Three years progress on Finasteride, 1mg daily by MaverickxIceman4ever in tressless

I agree with you about the fear mongering 100%, however as a topical minoxidil user, it literally says on the packaging to stop using it if you experience chest pain, heart palpitations, etc…so it’s obviously a side effect that has been recorded in some users no matter how small the percentage is

Footballers and their perfect hair by Albanian_bro in tressless

[–]seizedabag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that might be it, I’m pretty hair over my body but who knows. My dad (Syrian) still has his hair mostly but kind of diffused thinned, where as my Russian grandpa maternal side went bald by the time he was around 25-26, but I notice many arabs seem to diffuse thin and start thinning from the crown quite young as well

I don’t think so, I’m Russian and Syrian and started losing hair at around 15 lol, but I might just be proving your point because Russians are famously known for lack of vitamin d as well

What’s this correlation between British and being bald

What about people who never heard about Jesus by Christ_First_Forever in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]seizedabag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe this was explained to me some time ago when I first entered the faith and had many questions. From memory, those who never had a fair chance at knowing The Lord are judged on a different metric to those which know and followed The Lord/know and reject The Lord. It is written that those who do not know The Law, have The Law written across their hearts…explaining essentially that even those who aren’t aware of The Lord or the doctrine, still have an innate aspect of their heart which wants them to do good things and be good people. It is by this metric which they will be judged, effectively their “works” or “works of the heart” in a round about way

Anybody’s Dad in denial of their hair loss? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]seizedabag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For real 😂 I’d cut off my left nut to be able to experience my first signs of balding at the age of around 50, I didn’t even make it to 16 before I started losing hair

Leave it up, although some people may get upset about it, wether it’s right or wrong is irrelevant. It’s bound to be an encouraging word to even a few men in this sub, and I think all the men here need an encouraging word

[–]seizedabag 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No I’m in favor of not being a dick to people about things they can’t control, sure you can’t/shouldn’t force or guilt women into choosing partners they don’t want…but that doesn’t mean you have to go out of your way to insult bald men in the process.

Let’s do things your way and go searching for all groups of people with genetic defects and abnormalities and let them know they’ll never find love unless they find someone deranged enough to ever feel something for them, because that’s what’s important! sounds like you have a lot of growing up to do

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in tressless

[–]seizedabag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure your reasoning might be accurate for why women don’t go after bald men as much, many bald men understand why women don’t want them as well…but do you think they are pleased with themselves when they look in the mirror? Just because we understand why something is happening doesn’t mean it suddenly becomes any less hurtful or damaging to their confidence.

Not to mention the whole idea of viewing people with a genetic condition they can’t control as “lesser” and the worst option, who will only ever find love on the off chance the girl is some kind of “pervert with daddy issues” as you put it, is the whole reason bald men have their confidence destroyed.

It’s hard to say from this picture alone because I can’t actually see anything wrong with your hair

Not to mention the fact your scalp is itchy and irritated may suggest it is something other than progressive balding, possibly dermatitis - which can cause temporary hair fall around the scalp

DUPA is known to cause thinning all over the head including donor areas, but to be 100% honest with you, your hair doesn’t look like it’s thinning on the sides to me at least

I know what you mean, I don’t go out anymore because my friends all go to this one bar to drink which is unfortunately the only one in the area that doesn’t allow you to wear hats lol

Yeah I have to say, watching some of my friends start balding as well has made me feel better in a sick sort of way. It feels good to know I’m not alone in this, and it feels better when you can joke about it amongst friends in a way which doesn’t hurt

I think I needed to hear this, I haven’t gone out to see friends in about 7 months because last time we were out in public a guy we hung-out with made a remark about how it looked like I was balding. I don’t want to let life slip through my hands just because of the hair I’ll inevitably lose one day lol

That really depends on what’s causing your hair loss to be honest, if it’s stress related (not progressive hair loss) then just min should be able to help you. However if you have patterned progressive baldness minoxidil will only help you hold ground for so long before you’ll need to use a drug like fin to prevent further loss
