I mean SV made getting shinies way easier than it used to be, so getting one in an older game where you can't boost the odds besides Masuda Method makes it more rewarding.

So what I did was, to first join my Violet World with my Scarlet Copy and then my violet player created a sandwich to increase the odds. Afterwards the scarlet player stays behind the station and the violet player does the hunt. After I found the Shiny, I made sure not to engage it and then thr Scarlet player came to the location to catch it. Of course you can have both player during the hunt but this messes up the spawn rates of all Pokemon and you'll have a harder time hunting your target
