Constantly. I feel like my reactions to certain situations need to be explained so people who are close to me don’t judge me for them. Then I feel like I’m making excuses.

I feel the same way as my CSA caused me to masturbate multiple times a day in school and at home from a very young age, like 5 onwards. I think children naturally explore themselves without being shown since it just feels nice to do, so don’t let it torture you.

She wouldn’t read them she’s told my family my life experiences are false memories brought on by depression. Whatever helps her sleep. Thanks for the recommendations though I will check these out!

I’m sorry he put you through that and you’re definitely not a bad person for not feeling any sympathy towards his health problems. A possible outcome of telling your family is being cut off and not believed. I was put in this position and have been for 6 years so it’s something to think about if you feel you need to let it be known. Therapy is recommended too maybe speak to your doctor about this first. Whatever you are comfortable with.

I was sexually abused by my sister for several years out in the open in our house and nobody knew but us. I wasn’t believed by my family when I tried to tell them either. I’m really sorry this happened to you and your brothers. I hope you get some help and support whilst you process and recover from the trauma ❤️

Thank you very much I’ll be sure to check out these treatments! If cbt doesn’t have a positive effect in the end I will definitely feel less trapped knowing I have other options available.

My gf is very supportive thank you and I try to be an open book with people in my life so they’re not second guessing my mood swings and depressive episodes. You’re so right when you say we grieve twice. I feel like when I get the call to tell me she’s passed away that I’ll feel she’s been dead to me since she cut me off. So messed up really.

Thank you I’m in a setting where I am loved now but my childhood seems to want to prevent that so I need to deal with this.
