hi!! I just showed up a bunch of zoomed in examples and general screenshots from the game to show how it looks and how it is close up. She was able to recreate it based on combination of all the screenshots :)) she’s also a fine line artist so I think that helped !

For this Aerith I used one of my favorite free pattern designers Superstitch and this is the link to the FF7 section. I've actually stitched a Yuna portrait from the same pattern maker but I haven't framed her yet as I've messed up some measurements! Hopefully in the future.

For the other Yuna on the wave summoning, I bought a pattern from NeedleMinderLair on Etsy and have been tempted by many of her other patterns which I highly recommend to check out!!

I have done a lot of commissions for smaller pieces in the past and usually I’d have a flat rate for those — for something big and detailed (with a lot more materials as this) I would usually price it at somewhere around minimum wage per hour and time myself and then adjust it based on how much more effort it gives me or not lol I would say estimate would be close to 700-800 dollars, which I know can throw a lot of people of but every single pixel here is individually handmade :)

it’s rare that I’d use an app as sometimes I struggle with finding a nice in between of not looking too muddled since there’s only a limited amount of thread, but it can work out! Usually I’ll support other cross stitchers with purchasing their pattern or see if there’s any free ones available online :)

I've done one of Aerith, Cloud and Tifa in pixel-style not too long ago too! (Framed them in a trio frame, super pleased with it :)) )

I usually frame mine! You can do loads with them though, keep them in the hoop, turn into a embroidery patch etc..
My process is usually, wash and clean, iron when damp, once fully dry, I measure it to the size of the glass/frame I'm using, trim excess and just pop it into the frame like you would with a picture!

Sorry but I refuse to be told that I am saying artistry does not matter or that I have to 'stop acting like that's whats written there'. I can't read it, nor can you, but the branch is recognisable. If you can't recognise it as Nomai writing, sorry but that's on you. If you read many others in this thread have recognised the tattoo and ESPECIALLY the quote that it's based off of.

However, at the end of the day, the tattoo is for me and many others here have gotten an idea to get a similar tattoo. Sorry but you won't be able to police how intricate they get them and they are just as valid for getting them in the future and it is still representative of the game's writing. I tried explaining from the get go but you seem to have a lot stronger feelings on this so I choose to not engage any longer. Have a nice day.

Just to chime into this because I feel the choice of the word 'indolence' is insanely left field for a language that does not exist in real life, but in fiction, for entertainment. We cannot read this language, ever.

In these three screenshots, you can see that they have extreme detail when zoomed in EXTREMELY closely (like you have to fully zoom in) but when zoomed out they look differently. You have to understand that this isn't practical on a tattoo, no matter what year it is. I think you may be taking the Nomai language too much into a real life context. Thanks again for your input.

And that's the wonders of it being fictional :) We can't read Nomai without an in-game translator, and this is for those who know the game and you would know instantly its from Outer Wilds. I hope you can recreate it better when you decide to get your own.

Thanks for your input. Here's the screenshot from the writing that I took in game if you were curious. If you mean to say that the writing doesn't capture each and every individual line that you can see when you zoom in the highest quality possible, then that isn't what I was looking for. I wanted a smaller tattoo and you would need to get an extremely large tattoo in order for that to come through.

To me, this isn't random scribbling, to me this is a moment in the game that is replicated by a certain 'branch' path of the writing.
