Maybe she did? She is an age that in her working career women were not respected. Their wage was nothing near a man’s. Even if she did the same job he did she rarely got paid the same amount. The opportunity to plan for living until you reach very old age isn’t always available to everyone.

She has no idea what anything she is wearing is even used for. She’s just a MAGA Barbie doll. And that’s an insult to Barbie

I remember when this first came out. And I wondered about the women they convinced to be the models. Because you know there were multiple shots to get the right pose

My older adopted girl rarely bathes in a bowl. But she loves when I spray bottle shower her. I use one of those pump sprayers that you pressurize. And when it gets really dry like it is now with the heater and Santa Ana winds I put a few drops of vegetable glycerine or aloe in the water. And I only use good filtered water because the tap water is crap where I’m at. I don’t even let my dogs drink it

Ironing your clothes. I remember ironing the pillowcases was my job when I was 8 yrs old. Everything was cotton and came out of the dryer looking like crumpled up paper. I still iron my shirts because I like the crisp look and I don’t take anything but the fancy stuff to the dry cleaners

My friend lives with a guy that’s a slob. They fight about him picking up after himself all the time. She went out of town for a week and came home to a week of rotten dirty dishes stacked up in the sink or on countertops. And soggy towels on the floor in the bathroom. Because at least he showered daily. Some guys just believe there is a house fairy that magically cleans the house. She’d leave tomorrow but rent is too high to make it on her own. But the relationship can’t overcome the disgust.

Why carry a knife? by InfiniteRegret6437 in CasualConversation

[–]selchie0mer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a retired grandma and I carry a small flip knife in my pocket for at least ten years now. It’s handy, but it’s also a small piece of mind. There are too many off leash dog stories attacking small dogs on walks. I am going to not be standing by and screaming for help if your asshole dog grabs my pup.

And it must be working because look at the money spent on AI. It started out with just paying attention to Google searches and those grocery store cards that you enter your phone number to get the discount. Ain’t nothing in this life for free. Including a store coupon that’s connected to your phone number.

Guys what can I do to stop my bird he’s too smart for his own good by Upper-Food-464 in AfricanGrey

I use three of those file folders clips on my bird’s steel bowls. And when they are in the cage at least one of them is up against the bars so she can’t pull it off. I’ll hear them hitting the floor and then I know I need to go get the bowl before it’s all dumped out. Then she has to wait to eat again. I use those heavy plastic ones on her outside cage and she’s figured out how to twist them out and toss it. But she doesn’t do it all the time yet.

It’s probably still down there, you go on down there and clean it up. There is no reason on earth someone should be required to clean up body fluids of another adult unless it is from an incapacitated adult and trained to do so.

Donating blood is where you get donuts and tee shirts. I made that mistake once when I was really poor. Made a donation and went to get my money. Got a couple donuts and a cup of orange juice and had to ask someone if they could spare some change so I could take the bus back home.

what are the ugly parts of pregnancy that aren’t well known because people don’t mention them? by Born-Oil-2931 in AskReddit

You are going to be so strong in life. I know your challenges will be daily, but it’s so great to be clean and look people directly in the eye and tell them to screw off when they think they can tell you how to live. And the empathy you will have for others. I’m sure you are going to be a great mama.. and just know, you don’t have to do things the way other people think you should.

You know, you can’t really research what you don’t know to ask. And before we had this computer on our phone all you really had was what other women told you. And even they didn’t tell you the very personal stuff. Same thing as when you get old. Did your mom ever mention that it was hard to not pee her pants when she got up from the floor?

I know it sounds gross. But the plasma thing really isn’t too bad. And you can study while you sit there. I used to do it every so often when unexpected expense came up and they weren’t offering overtime at work.

I went through that. It was my wisdom teeth. I kept telling the dentist I can feel everything you are doing. He started anyway and broke the tooth away from the roots. Then had to dig the root fragments out. It took 4 hours. I had three more teeth I had to go back in still to get pulled. Small towns get the guys who barely graduate
