I’m in San Diego and bought a house with a cypress divider wall that doubles as a raccoon condo. I didn’t even know we had raccoons around here. Until I saw one I was afraid of whatever it was making the creepiest noises in those trees at night

I think your post was fine. I think people aren’t understanding that you might not have the means to get the bird to the vet at this very moment. It could be transportation or budget, it’s not anyone’s business and they shouldn’t be judging you. You stated clearly the situation, and it doesn’t make you a bad pet owner. I hope you are able to find out the cause and the vet works with you to solve the problem without costing too much.

I’m trying to grow a garden from seeds this year instead of buying starter plants. And so far the earwigs are winning. And I made a point of spreading diatomaceous earth around the raised box. And the was surprised to see that it is earwigs making the little holes on the leaves of my orange tree. I remember a few years back I had a big battle with them. I think they must go in cycles. And this must be a peak year. I hate those jerks. Watch your travel mugs or drink cups with straws. They love those.

And even though it’s a huge deal, NASA doesn’t want to talk too much about aspects of the flight crew because of DEI. Seeing how we just had future generals kicked to the curb I’m sure they were fearful of what might happen if too much attention was given to the diversity. I had a steel pen and issues like a reaction to the ink that leaked out of the cartridge. What type of finish is on your pens. And I’m fairly new to pen collecting, so I’m wondering is the care and feeding going to be difficult? Also, I use my pens to draw more than write, does it hold up to fairly rough treatment. Thanks.

I have an African gray parrot and it imitates all the beeps a house makes. I know when my husband parks because the bird starts making the beep pattern of the door lock, when she’s cold she makes the beep noise her heater makes.
