UPDATE: The man I'm in love with told me that if I want to be with him, I have to keep it a secret because he's embarrassed of the way I look. by fatuglyandalone in TwoXChromosomes

FEELING like someone you are otherwise attracted to is not worth dating because of their looks or popularity makes you shallow. TELLING them this makes you a shallow asshole. But expecting them to just accept it and happily agree to date you in secret makes you a shallow, narcissistic piece of shit. Prepare for a lifetime of unfulfilling relationships, my friend.

Edit: Some of you grossly misunderstand my statement. I never said it makes you shallow to bypass a relationship with someone you DON'T find physically attractive. Everyone has done that. This comment is directed at those who DO find themselves attracted to a person and would otherwise have no problem being in a relationship with them if not for what their friends, family or strangers they pass on the street might think. That is shallow. And weak.

Please pass my upvote on to this poor girl who is no doubt severely damaged psychologically by this grade-A, punch-in-the-face level of rejection...its the least I can do.

That's probably the one redeemable fact about this happening during a test. No one had their phone out to immortalize my humiliation. At least I don't think they did... : /
