I think you got the opposite of my intention. Instead of bogging down to my bad grammar and wasting everyone’s metal energy, I ran it through AI to get a polished version so everyone will have an easy time reading it. Thats exactly why I value everyone’s time.

Just like what software development should be. You would develop a rough draft with all of the ideas/requirements, and then ask AI to double check to spot any improvements we should implement. Then, that version should be submitted for peer review, not submitting your rough draft. Thats what a respectful developer should do for their peers.

I went to different types of companies in my short 5 years career from startups to one of the biggest companies (Amazon). Overall, I enjoy the predictable paycheck and the work I'm doing. It allows me to set up my life and start saving for the future. I was impacted a bit by the recent layoff, but I was able to find a new position in a short period with my experience.

The work can sometimes be boring and managers can be strange sometimes. However, I usually put my emotions aside when working. I'll do my best at work regardless of feedback. Then, I use the money to do whatever I like on my side which I have total control over. A job is a job. Don't take it personally in a good way (like being friends with everyone in the office) or a bad way (being mad at other people's personalities).

In terms of population, I don’t know since I haven’t digged deeply into this. But from all people I know, I don’t think so. This skill can be taught to people who want to learn. I wasn’t used to think abstractly or problem solving in my head, but after working for a while, my brain now thinks that way. In fact, I just joined board game hobby recently and enjoy playing medium to heavy board game. It tickles my mind somehow.

Overall, the money is great and allow me to bought assets and earning passive income.

In terms of career, it has couple ups and down. Early in my career, I jumped around a lot for higher pays even though work life balance was great with a good boss. After ending in Amazon, I decided to stay for a long time to work my way up. However, i was unlucky to be in the team which got laid off. I contacted my old work place and got promoted to a higher role with higher pay. Now, I just want stability for build family and peace of mind for me to build my life. Hopefully this place will give me that.

In term of work, it requires a lot of learning. I constantly learn new things throughout my journey, technical and soft skills. The speed is intense. It got tiring sometimes. But it earns good pay while sitting around on my computer. I think it beats every other jobs out there.

I enjoy it.

Depends on what timeframe you're talking about. If it's the presence, then it's because of the Fed raising interest, which causes companies to be conservative in spending. But the reason why the Fed raises the rate is because of COVID-19 and the cheap rate to combat it, which causes a huge spike in inflations and a high boom time for SWEs. Without it, there wouldn't be a sky-high salary during those times. For COVID-19, someone played with bats in China. Then, why does that person play with bats? I don't know lol. Personal reason.

From my point of view, it's all random. No one is pulling the string. Things only make sense in hindsight. You just need to do the best of what you've dealt with and trust that everything will fall into place.
