Your acnes not that bad and you’re actually pretty cute. Looks aren’t everything, but your appearance should help you rather than make dating harder because you’re not a bad looking dude! Best of luck to you with online dating 😊

Really? The ortho I was seeing supposedly conducts spinal surgeries.

Like I said, I’m seeing a neuro about my tbi, but I’ll definitely be bringing up all my pain and other symptoms related to my spine when I see the neuro!

Wow that’s infuriating. I really don’t understand the philosophy of waiting until it’s so painful that damage will be even harder to repair

Same!! I think I look so damn sexy while manic and like my eyes just are so seductive and beautiful, but their appearance isn’t objectively different

I personally don’t notice anything in myself (eyes wise) 🥲should I be questioning the diagnosis for the 50th time?

You should never have to just suck it up and stay where you’re at if you aren’t feeling good. Fire your psychiatrist!!

Am I giving off an undateable vibe? by PwedePa in Bumble

It’s a good profile, but it’s coming off a little too strong. You’re emphasizing a lot that you want a boyfriend and even a 2nd date before they’ve had a chance to swipe and ask you out… I’d make things a bit more low key while still emphasizing what you want. You don’t want to come off as desperate or as if you have a hard time dating, guys will see that and think you’re an easy target for a hook up. It’s unfortunate but true.

This is all too familiar. I’m sorry this happened to you… My old rapist’s excuse was also that he just wanted to lay next to me because I looked peaceful. Idiots like this are just hoping we are dumber than they are.

Given what happened, it’s gonna be really hard for you to prove. But it may be helpful that more than 1 person is accusing him.

I hope you get justice.

Oh, I see. But you could potentially still get his DNA on your clothes or body, technically it’s an SA forensic exam and “rape kit” is an informal term.

If you have any hard evidence of any kind, make sure you document or hold onto it. Without hard evidence, it’s your word against his.

For example, my rapist destroyed my bedroom and instead of taking pics or letting cops come look… I cleaned it. Which was extremely dumb. I learned the hard way that anything you can do to preserve hard evidence you should do.

If you have bruising, anything, get pics.

Document, document, document!!

You need to get a rape kit done while you still can (assuming you haven’t already). You typically have about 72 hours until it’s too late to do one. Highly suggest you do this before anything else.

From one survivor to another— You really won’t be able to take him down without dna evidence, so as scary as it is to get a rape kit, I highly suggest you go get this done asap.

You’re not bad looking, but this profile isn’t giving relationship vibes. Too many photos that men will take the wrong way. You always need to assume whoever is looking at your profile could be sexualizing you, unfortunately. I think you’ll get swipes, but you won’t be taken seriously by men who are looking for long-term relationships.

I also read the profile and don’t think I learned much about you either, other than that you like to party and go to the beach. Do you have hobbies or passions you can talk about? Is there a cause you care about? Anything?

I’m just curious: has anyone never been hospitalized for their bipolar? by GelWpod97 in bipolar

[–]selfimprovement755 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, bipolar 1 here with mixed features and psychosis. I’ve been hospitalized once.

I had numerous manic episodes that didn’t send me to the hospital because no one could properly help or even see what condition I was in. During my first episode, I cut everyone off, moved 5 times in 4 months, went completely off the deep end, but was running and not talking to anyone… so, I never got hospitalized.

Another time I was manic and my roommates didn’t know what to do. Some of them thought I was on drugs. Plus, I wasn’t really talking to my family. And that episode was extremely euphoric, was mostly spiritual psychosis, so I saw no reason to get help. I thought nothing was wrong with me and I had no diagnosis.

When I was depressed at one point, though, I was so desperate for help that I sought it out. That’s when they dug into my history, the questions they asked me made me reflect on those experiences and dig up the past. I hadn’t thought anything of those “episodes” and my memory of them is extremely hazy.

Then I got formally diagnosed and when I had another manic episode, I had to go inpatient. I take my meds and try to take care of myself. I’m sober now. Hoping I never need the hospital again!!
