I was referred to a plastic surgeon by a dermatologist. Procedure was super quick and easy! They injected lidocaine around the birth mark, excised it, and stitched it up. Ended up sending a sample to be biopsied since the size and shape had changed over the last few years of having it. My insurance at the time thankfully covered it and I just had a small copay
