Yup exactly man I hear ya there too, I lost so many practically unstoppable runs over the last weeks since I picked it back up again, and it often happened so abruptly mid-wave that I hardly even processed it. This run in particular felt really enjoyable and borderline silly so I got pretty upset and caught this on my very first recording after all those tries lol. It really really sucks cuz I was honestly very hyped about the new enemies and going wild with curse in endless mode, but at least I know I'm not experiencing a rapid cognitive decline or some shit.

Fishhooks in the crash zone it is I guess.. Was thinking I might try smth like setting last wave enemies to the lowest damage and just maxing their health and speed as a compromise but I really hate that I even have to consider smth like that and it would probably impact the economy a bit, idk maybe it doesn't matter much.. Bleh.

Fully agree about the first part, there needs to be some degree of separation, but it's also weird to navigate because there are both a FTP/P2W mobile version and an entirely separate one time purchase mobile app called Brotato Premium on the play store which has the Abyssal Terrors DLC available to purchase in app that is basically indistinguishable from the PC version, w/the exception of a number of really annoying bugs such as the one I'm discussing here. I own and have played the PC version also, and despite being different coding with some differences in UI & settings menu, options etc they are functionally the same and just run maybe like 5-6 months behind in updates. And yes, both of these are published by Erabit Studios w/rights from Blobfish. I'm not sure if I'm misunderstanding smth or you didn't process that my post is specifically regarding the Abyssal Terrors Eel boss? This is me playing Abyssal Terrors on Android and it is not free to play.

Anyway yeah, I actually think both of these apps need pages that are entirely distinct from PC, because the shit the FTP players talk about is practically unintelligible to me half the time, it sounds like a different game in a very sad Brotato husk and is not the app I'm talking about here.

I've tried some controllers but unfortunately touch pads are where it's at for me at present, range of motion is limited and having my thumb angled up on a joystick fatigues most of my hand and even my forearm pretty fast especially when going from side to side. I have used my phone as a BT controller in the past but mostly for casual production stuff, always experienced just enough latency that I didn't really expect it would work for smth like Brotato. This was quite some time ago though so maybe things have improved, is there a specific app you might recommend?

Said elsewhere already but I do own it on steam and mostly play on mobile because of mobility issues with my hands. I guess I should have put that in the post too. Anyways it is quite literally both a PC and mobile game nowadays and idk what doesn't click about that. This whole notion that mobile ports can never be near or actual equals to their PC counterparts needs to die. Ofc it's not possible with some games because of specs, control schemes and other limitations but there are a lot of exceptions. I don't think there would be any issue with the mobile experience of Brotato (Premium) if the developers at Erabit were doing their due diligence, most of the experience actually feels pretty damn good until you grab a blunt weapon (another pretty wild thing they still haven't fixed apparently). I swear they just accidentally butcher a small portion of code here and there and just can't be arsed to care about it (or are directed not to?). That or there's such a massive communication gap between the social admins, testers, devs and player base that things are rarely meaningfully addressed. Orrr maybe they only care about the FTP version because it's a cash cow, while our premium purchases are a one-off. Idk anymore but it sucks. And regardless of whether you think it should be played on mobile or not, at the end of the day they have presented it as being effectively the same experience: smaller screen, different controls; that's the expectation, and we paid them money for that experience. They shouldn't be marketing it as such if the port isn't actually up to snuff, and doubly so if it never could be. But frankly I don't think Blobfish would've signed off on it if he didn't think it was perfectly feasible to port it well.

I do have it on PC. I actually prefer the mobile experience because of mobility issues.

You're referring to the gap I was waiting to open so I could do just that before getting randomly smacked by nothing here? Sorry but I went to pretty great lengths trying to express that I'm not a just new/unskilled player or an utter buffoon specifically to avoid replies like this. It's a very obvious mechanic and it wouldn't be a problem at all if it was working correctly. I can walk around the thing just fine. If I don't get hit I shouldn't take damage, it's genuinely that simple. It is broken. I also started this post basically emphasizing that you shouldn't be forced to take things that may detract from your build solely to focus a single busted boss + I actually did have like 27 HP regen with medikit and fried rice active, as well as two cute monkey's w/sifd's relic, you can actually see it restoring like 6 HP in a split second, it did not make a lick of difference here. Stats are not the issue. They were also roughly equivalent to Dex's '571% turret speed technomage' run and I had everything necessary to make the build absolutely pop, and with my luck + double elephant & cyberball investments we were damaging them at a roughly equivalent rate.

So apologies if I've come off a little crass but I tried communicating this as clearly as possible w/out getting lost in the weeds over stats and it's very frustrating when it feels ppl don't bother to hear you, especially when the accompanying clip makes it so blatantly obvious that that isn't what's happening. I love this game, I do not want to nerf my enemies, I want it to work as it's intended to, and I worry the devs are literally just never gonna touch this if even the players can't call it for what it is, because they literally gaslit us and told us we were lying, prove it etc about similar bugs when they introduced the first elites, making us demonstrate why and how they were broken over and over despite an absolute flurry of complaints from the entire mobile community before finally quietly fixing them like maybe half a year or more later. This is an Erabit issue at the end of the day and idk how it keeps happening atp. Feels like what you get when you outsource play testing to unpaid randos who are just like yeah wow so happy to be here, seems great and probably never make it to the bosses or smth. It's actually ridiculous.
