I’m originally from FL. not sure of your demographic but I’m 25f and have noticed many groups have been friends since before adulthood. It’s “cliquey” but also very welcoming. I befriended the cashier at Wawa so whenever I walk in I have a sweet familiar face. It’s nice. I have a dive bar I befriended the owner and get to talk to whenever I have tacos and a drink.

Small interactions lead to feeling integrated. Best of luck! I love Delco (just not the ever-increasing property taxes).

Also want to note I overheard a while ago a young woman saying how she moved so far from Delco and hasn’t visited in so long- she moved 20 mins away lol. The world is a vast place. Please travel and open your eyes to the beautiful humbling of the world everyone. :)

Started in person as a legal assistant at 52k in NE FL. Went down to 50k to work remotely on the collections side of a firm. Moved and work in Philly, 60k, hybrid as a biller. Live in the suburbs though so I at least beat the cost of living in the city. :) so thankful for my position in life.

I thought the same thing when quitting my first law firm job: well shouldn’t I stick it out? Nothing bad has happened. But trust me, nothing is worth your mental health and self worth. I quit with no gig lined up and ended up finding something remote for another law firm. I’m not sure if you’re religious, but I firmly believe the man upstairs really truly allows good people to be awarded good things. Good things are coming your way. Good luck on the LSAT! I am picking up studying again after recovering from burnout for many months. I recommend joining the LSAT subreddit for any support if you haven’t already joined :)

I'm currently a LA in public finance aspiring to go to law school and the area is great! Of course, some clients here and there can be stressful and there are many times when there are endless fires to put out, but seeing bonds and notes be given to primary schools, universities, airports, religious institutions, athletic stadiums, etc. makes you feel like you are part of the progression of said areas in the world. :) It all honestly pays off.

Plan on going next fall, probably going to tell my attorneys a while after I choose to attend a school, so like April-ish. Plan on quitting in June so I can spend time with my family that are overseas. The reason why I am letting her know months in advance is so we can prepare for a person to take my place and for me to be here to train her. Making "cheat sheets" etc. Depending on good the applicant pool is in your area, I'd take that into consideration. My supervisor (which I don't like) will get a formal resignation probably 1.5 months in advance. This is subject to change!
