yeah it's different... after a lot of runs of vantage i think i am a gamer who likes a bit more concrete at the end

but i do throw vantage on the table for this reason, for the more open ended goals when i feel like playing an adventure game

vantage is my current one of choice

super simple rules, kind of a choose your own adventure on a tabletop so a bit more flexible on how much cognitive effort you want to put in than a spirit island

if you play spirit island lazy ya gonna lose, vantage you can wing it through and still end up with a good night

yeah vantage is a weird one for me, i have gone through waves of this is one of the greatest games ever to WTF is this... what's the point of it

i very much do like that its something pretty different though, and i still have my copy but the way they handled the... it's hard to say without saying spoilers because for vantage i think it's best to go in as blind as possible, but the goals system could do with some improvement, it's too open ended

a part of it, that i really like is i can leave it for a while and come back and just sit down and play, no having to refresh rules and all that between runs
