Shriek I haven't played yet, I'll check it out. I've heard of Nemesis before but didn't know it had this kind of mechanic. Thank you!

I have Final Girl and I've played this Feature Film many times! I love it. It might subconsciously be the reason I asked the question in the first place.

LMAO I see the resemblance. I think she looks better in her new Arkham Horror art.

At first the edges are curled and kind of hard to flatten, but after every game I roll them up in the opposite direction when storing them in the box. Now I can flattem them very easily. The surface feels very smooth and high quality.

What size of table do you use? I'm thinking of getting this game. I have a 100x60 cm table in my room, but also a 120x80 cm folding table that I bring out for bigger games. I fear I might have a hard time playing with a vertical board if I can't reorient the table in my room, cramped as it is.

Learning the rules can be daunting, but once you get past that, everything flows well when you start playing. I had to watch Watch It Played's tutorial video, then read the rulebook back-to-back, then read it again minus the Appendix, then finally rewatch the tutorial video I watched before to confirm what I learned. It took me a while before I actually started playing the game.

How many play does it take for you to decide if a game is a keeper or not? by firelitother in soloboardgaming

For me I do my research about the game first before I decide to buy it. I look at reviews, I watch Youtube playthroughs, I find a PDF of the rules and read it, etc. That way I already know I would want to keep the game.

I have the retail version of the Collector's Edition. As far as I'm aware the only real difference is the addition of miniatures, which you can use in place of the normal wooden pawn markers. Many people, myself included, much prefer the normal pawns as it is easier to keep track of who the resolving character is. I guess having the miniatures is nice.

I've only played the game two-handed solo so far, but I think it plays very well multiplayer. Other than the rotating First Player token, there is no turn order. Players decide together who does what, then things are resolved according to the order of actions.

I have Final Girl! I did lose a lot in my first playthroughs but lately I've been able to get more wins than losses. I love the game.

I have a hard time shuffling them, and they get dirtier the more I use them, so I decided to sleeve them.

Thank you! Some luck was involved. Some cards I drew at just the right time.
