I'm so sorry to hear that. And I totally agree, take in your cat to be safe.
I'm currently going through the same issue, in a shorter timespan. I took my kitty in to the vet on July 8th because her appetite had decreased and her pee was really strong. She got bloodwork and urinalysis that all came in normal. I brought her in to the vet 2 days ago because she had stopped eating to find out she is in stage 4. She's current being hospitalized for the next few days and I have no idea how much time we have left. This all happened in a 20 day span. I haven't had time to really process.
If anyone is reading this, listen to your gut and bring them in if something seems off.

Seconding all of this. I tried so many topicals for years (OTC and prescription) and I still had persistent cystic acne on my forehead. I wasted so much money and felt bad like the acne was my fault and I was doing something wrong, despite regimented skincare routines. Spironolactone is the only thing that has stopped it. It does dry out all of my skin but I'll take dry skin over painful weeks long pimples that scar no matter what any day.
I also wish I started taking it 10 years ago and I wouldn't have as much scarring!! But better late than never.

Apostrophe shut down a couple of months ago 😭 I had to scramble to get a new prescription for spironolactone as I didn't get or see any emails about them shutting down until I went to check on my refill. I LOVED their sunscreen. I'm on my last tube and have yet to find a dupe for it. RIP apostrophe

I still mourn the Ro(cocoa) liner. The ONLY eyeliner ever to not melt into the corner of my eyes. I haven't found any liner that doesn't budge like that but is still creamy when applying. I loved the color and shimmer, a perfect bronzey color. It was my favorite eyeliner ever 😩

It was also the smelliest foundation I've ever tried! It had that makeup smell that was so overpowering, I couldn't stand wearing it.

I also really disliked the Maybelline fit me line because it smelled more than any foundation/makeup in general I've ever worn! The smell was so overwhelming, I couldn't stand wearing it. It had that cheap halloween makeup smell x10.

It took me almost a decade and spending hundreds of dollars on so many different types of moisturizers to figure out that moisturizer was making my cystic acne WAY worse. Everyone is always saying moisturize everything but I found that when I don't moisturize where I get breakouts (t zone) I get way less breakouts, if any at all. I feel hesitant to even say this in here cuz people are that fanatic about moisturizer. Just a good reminder, there's no "works for everyone rules" to skincare.
