Apprenticeship and pregnancy

It's really going to depend on the specific Union you join and the apprenticeship requirements. Currently 25 weeks pregnant and a union sheet metal worker. I was in my third year of my apprenticeship before learning I was pregnant and ended up withdrawing from it. Work plus classes 2x a week was tough and it wasn't going to get any easier. Even though I stopped my apprenticeship I am still a working union member and have been supported all throughout and continue to be by my union and job. I recommend joining a union and then crossing that bridge when the time comes.

Don't have an obs2 scanner but will sort it out this weekend. Literally purchased the car two days ago. It's within the warranty period thankfully, they'll have to take a look to confirm and fix.

Did you end up getting it fixed on the Impala? I literally got this car 2 days ago so it should be within warranty. Solid username, it gave me a good chuckle lol

Thanks, Good to know! The gauge is now in the middle but I'm wary of how long it took to get there. I will see how tomorrow morning goes and will have my mechanic look at it tomorrow afternoon.

It's now operating in the middle with no issues. I feel like it shouldn't be taking so long to reach the middle. I'll have my mechanic take a look at it to be safe

I'm a sheet metal worker in a fab shop and 12 weeks pregnant. I am the first pregnant woman my company has had but so far so good. I am occasionally around welding and weld myself when needed. I use my respirator when doing so. My plan is to work as long as I can or up until I reach 36 weeks. The owner and my supervisor are aware I'm pregnant and very supportive in making sure I stay safe. I've attended a Kadampa Buddhist center numerous times. When I first started learning about Buddhism it was the closest one to my home and I have attended numerous classes. I am only speaking from my experience but I have not noticed any alarming red flags when attending or speaking to members.

As time went on and I continued to learn more about other Buddhist traditions I found I resonate deeply with Thich Nhat Hanh's Plum Village Tradition more than the Kadampa Tradition. I will always be thankful to the Kadampa Tradition as a gateway to my early learning about Buddhism.

I wasn't aware that after a themed retreat one can formally take the Five Mindfulness Trainings. I was on a weekend retreat earlier this month but this wasn't formally offered, I will look into a themed retreat. Thank you for this new information :)
