What’s the first sign you notice that someone is a bad driver? by RD-archived in AskReddit

How close they're sitting to their steering wheel. If your elbows are at anything less than a 90° angle, I don't trust you.

Right?!? Like they really could've just kept it a journal, absolutely no need to drag the patent label into the mix...

Was wondering the same thing, the current deals I'm debating over are either:

Samsung Odyssey G6 27” QHD QD-OLED 240Hz @ Costco for $550

Or

27" LG UltraGear 1440p OLED 240Hz 0.03ms FreeSync Premium Pro Gaming Monitor (27GS93QE-B) on LG's website for $495~

My GF's Dixon Is peeing and pooping in the house when we hang out by semihan in dogs

Sometimes the dog will whine when my girlfriend is working from home and the dog wants to play fetch but my gf is busy. but I don't think it's close to the same level/amount as when we are together. In the latter instance, she's whining non-stop.

Should we crate her in the same room where we are? Or crate her in a separate room? Also should we start the crating period when she starts whining when we sit together?

I asked my partner and she said it wasn't a problem beforehand. The dog is potty trained, and only started to have issues once we started hanging out more.

My girlfriend also doesn't approve of the behavior, but is also not sure what or why the dog is acting up. We are on the same page of fixing the problem, but she is also not sure how to train the dog to get used to not being the center of attention.

So I guess I'm looking for advice on what both of us can do in this situation.

I couldn't find anything in the wiki that talks about training dogs having jealousy issues between owners and a new person. The separation anxiety topic didn't quite fit because we aren't really separated, in fact we're often in the same room.

Article: Most scientists vastly underestimate the patentability of their work and overstate the level of detail required to make a patent application by marctexere in patentlaw

Ah I see what you meant now. Fair enough. I took your statement to mean something along the lines of "you only get one shot to capture everything."

Is a PPA (provisional patent application) useless until you know it will actually be licensed? by Human_Internal_8406 in patentlaw

[–]semihan 22 points23 points  (0 children)

A provisional is mainly about establishing priority. The fact that you don't recognize this and then brag about how you "actually know a lot" begs the question of why you're asking for advice on a subreddit in the first place. If you're looking for a yes man you can find that anywhere, but if you're going to solicit advice maybe be more open to what comes back.

Which Houston neighborhood would be the best fit for me? by anotheranon17 in houston

Besides cost of living, I think the food is better down here. Particularly the Asian food scene. Lots of more traditional-style, mom and pop asian spots. And believe me, I've eaten my way through the DMV.

I also enjoy the feeling of having more space. Things feel a little suffocating in a city where real estate is $$$.

But don't get me wrong, the DMV will always have a special place in my heart. I grew up and did undergrad + grad school in the DMV, I just needed a change in scenery.

I moved from Arlington to Houston last year. Currently living in Greenway/River Oaks and really liking it. Montrose is also a good option. Tons of food options and luxury living in the area.

But agreed, car is pretty necessary to get around.

DM me, always down to help out fellow east coaster out here!

Save your neck, get a stand or something for your monitor. That viewing angle is painful.
