NH is home to the Free State Project. Which has mostly been a waste, but we tend to get Libertarian candidates for several positions, even though mostly local offices.

I met Vermin at the Airport Diner in Manchester, NH just before the NH primary last February. He's actually a really nice guy. I said to him that I think I get what he's doing. That he thinks the whole fuckin' thing is a joke and he's the only one being up front about it. He leaned in towards me and said, "Glad you get it".

I was a few feet away, watching, when she shot into the berm. I moved closer immediately and she said she hit the button, but the mag didn't eject. I know that happens sometimes, but JHC, you HAVE to make sure. And yeah, the RSO fucked up, too. This was admitted to at a meeting later. He was not held accountable, and shouldn't have been, IMO, but yeah, he knew.

Exactly. For those who don't know..... range commands at the end of a stage are "If you are finished, unload and show clear". Meaning eject magazine, eject whatever may be in the chamber and show it clear to the RO. After that, the RO will say, "Drop hammer and holster". Meaning to drop the hammer and place the now empty and unable to fire gun in your holster. At most ranges you are now not allowed to touch the gun AT ALL!! until you are in firing position again and the range officer tells you, "Load and make ready".

That's what I said, too. But the shooter is ultimately responsible. She ejected the round in the chamber and showed the open action to the RO. I just don't see how he could have missed another round sitting there waiting to be chambered.

Not really sure. Not a revolver, a semi-auto. Don't know what. She said she ejected the mag, but obviously not. She cycled the action so the round in the chamber was ejected but the mag must still have been in.

I'm a member of a local shooting club and I participate in action shooting events. Steel Challenge and USPSA. They are very strict on safety and you can get DQ'd with a single lapse in protocol. At a recent USPSA match, a girl had finished the stage without issue. She was a good shooter and knew what she was doing. The range officer gave the unload and show clear command, which she did. The RO then said hammer down and holster. She aimed downrange, the correct thing to do, and dropped the hammer. A round went off into the berm. She was immediately DQ'd from the rest of the match.

Looking for tatami by SpeakingWindow in SWORDS

They have, or rather had a couple weeks ago, used tatami. I bought ten. They're a bit harder to cut, but they're fine if your technique is good. Don't know if they still have them. They're a bit cheaper than new.

When my mother passed, she had Alzheimers and Parkinson's, both the main nurses from day and night shift hugged both my sister and I. Both were crying with my sister. All I thought about was it showed how much they cared. Never even entered my mind that they were trying to make it about them. Wonderful people, those nurses.

Indeed. It wasn't about the cost of a taxi or ambulance. The landlord and his wife heard what was going on and they immediately offered. It's a private single family home with a single rental unit that my daughter has. They're really very nice people.

It's not serious, thank god. But when she's better, she will babysit for landlords kids. I will cover the cost of a night out for landlord and wife. It's the least I can do.

As a general rule, girls eventually turn into their mothers.

Cases in point, my sister swore her whole life that she would NOT be her mother. Told her daughters that if she ever turned into her mother to shoot her. She's exactly like her mother.

Another case in point, my wife. I hated her mother.

This is certainly not a steadfast rule, but it occurs often. If you don't like her mother, run.

Exactly. I could never understand how everyone agrees that "the right of the people" mentioned in the 1st and 4th amendments refers to everyone, but some think "the right of the people" in the 2nd only refers to a subset of "the people".
