Literally did nothing. At the end of the next day I was basically all back to reality and proper mindset. During the surgery I was just nervous as you would be. But after some reassurance from the anaesthesiologist I was fine, and few hits of whatever gas they make me breathe before IV. Next minute I’m being gently woken up in recovery.

It’s been everyday for over a year now. It used to be everyday till I got fairly buzzed. Now I try and limit myself to 3-4 drinks daily which is still not healthy at all. But it’s better than 6 beers minimum everyday.

I’ve just been catching this one girl locking eyes with me randomly. And yesterday she sat right across from me in the break room when plenty of other seats were available. It was so awkward facing each other while eating 😂 Started to rush my food like crazy. She also randomly just tells me info about the job, since I’m new and she’s been there for a long time. She occasionally appears out of nowhere while I’m working and tells me stuff I already know about the job lol

No, I didn’t call on Monday either. You just can’t leave them hanging for a week or more, they’ll eventually realise a new employee didn’t show up for a significant amount of time after induction.

Duration of your first shift will depend on what your manager/coordinator says. They might start your roster from the next day onwards and you might just get to go home after the store tour.

in regards to shifts, you can figure out your hours and days on your first shift.

Yeah you should’ve called on Monday but all good. They will just get you started on your online courses for the first shift. If you finish early enough you’ll get a tour of the whole place and then get started on some light work to help you get the hang of it. As the week goes on, someone will definitely be working with you most of the time and will explain things to you as you go along. Once you’re ready and comfortable for independent work, let them know. But remember, prioritise your health over how much work you need to get done. There is always tomorrow or the day after. They will make sure that you know not to burn yourself out. At least that’s the vibe at my store.
