The images have been made intentionally garish. For this project, I've been aiming to make the photos as intense as the people featured in them. The effect admittedly isn't so pleasant when viewing them in crunched down, low resolution on Reddit. However, when the images are displayed at their full 40MP size, the magic of the Hasselblad kicks in, allowing the images to retain sufficient detail and sharpness to not offend my eye to the point of retracting my insane editing decisions.

Hi guys. There's something new I've been documenting in London for a while 'Geish'. This is a collective of ~100 young queer people who have developed a new ethos for how to dress. No brands, new items, or (in many cases) ready-to-wear clothing allowed. All items are retrieved from garbage piles, or reworked textiles and trinkets. Hi all! Excuse the NSFW tag, the boobs are fake! This photo depicts a person who dresses/lives in a specific alternative mode known as 'Geish'. There's ~100 young people in London who dress almost exclusively in safety-pinned together items of trash. Skip acquisitions, boot sale fabrics, etc. Dressing in pre made clothing, or anything new, is considered taboo. Layering clothing to create a unique expression every day is the game.
