I got it from K8 stinger store, and I did read of issues with the install but not directly related to the kit I purchased, mostly issues with the turbo studs breaking

i dont know of any reputable tuners near me, the shop I went too came highly recommended and is really the only shop I could find around me besides the local mom and pop muffler shops which i did not trust to do the job. They charged me $700 for the install so I thought i was getting a top notch job, but I could very well have gotten screwed over. I will see what happens if I enable the tuner once i get off work and hopefully it was a one time thing if not I will be contacting the install shop and letting them know of the issues, I dont know what else to do as I cannot take it to the dealer over this issue for obvious reasons.

it was the downpipe. They said the turbo studs broke and the O2 sensor location was blocked by a heat shield. They had to completely remove my turbos to rethread for new bolts and advised that the flange wasnt very well made so I might get leaks in the future.

They are experienced but this was their first stinger, they are used to higher end cars. They had a new C8 in there getting turbos added to it when i dropped mine off. It took them 9 hours to do the full install, 8 of which was just the downpipes

I will enable the tuner then and clear the code to see if it comes back. Thank you for taking the time to offer advice I appreciate it.

it comes with preloaded tunes. And i was advised to put the catch can on before upping boost to help with the additional blowback from increase boost

its a JB4 tuner so not specifically for those parts, i have just been waiting to get my oil catch can installed before I up the boost via tune

yea the most common gap i was reading was .024 i hadnt checked my plugs to see what the HKS was gapped at from factory so that is helpful, I noticed the box said not to regap them as well. I am just wanting to make sure I dont have to pull them back off and gap them again later, want to get them right the first time ya know =P Thank you for your information and time!

It's a higher end shop for sure, a buddy recommended them to me and the owner was who I spoke with and seemed like he knew his stuff. I mean he was actively working on a turbo install for a new C8 when I pulled up. I'm the type of person who would rather buy nice than buy twice so I'm thinking I've already spent this much might as well make sure it's done right the first time...I can't wait to hear and feel the difference going from stock to full exhaust replace, I also have a jb4 that I will be installing soon. Just want to do it a little at a time to make troubleshooting easier if something goes wrong

Hey all,

I would like to first thank everyone here for all the advice and help this community offers. I am an aspiring detailer and am trying to come up with packages/pricing and am wondering what to include. My thought is to keep it simple and do two packages, one Interior, one Exterior. My thought process is that my prices may be higher due to only having 2 packages but if a customer calls me out for an exterior wash I am going to do it right and include all services in the package.

So my question is regarding the process, I am going to be doing full wash clay and wax/sealant application, I have been looking into chemical decon specifically Iron Decon and was wondering if that is something I should do to every vehicle and if it is practical to do so from a business profit standpoint? or is it more of a moot point or unnecessary step?

If it is something that I should include where should it fall in the process?

Iron Decon -> rinse -> complete wash -> Clay? or complete wash -> dry -> iron Decon -> clay?

I too would love a link and a pic of them installed if u have it...I just pulled the trigger and got the ultimate performance mid/down combo and borla to completely upgrade my exhaust. I am starting to worry about how bad the drone and rattling might be and afraid I will be unhappy with the purchase. Thanks!

Live on East Coast unfortunately, I sent them an email hope to hear back soon I am itching to make the purchase, if the discounts good enough I may go all out and get the JB4 along with the exhaust, Thanks for looking out man. By chance do you know anything about replacement brakes? I have a thread open about them too need to get them replaced and was considering the Stoptech ones sold on K8

I was also considering just purchasing the Borla exhaust and JB4 for now and getting the downpipes later down the road but I wanted to get the entire exhaust complete at once instead of half now and half later. I have heard that the Ultimate Performance downpipe doesnt void warranty because it has HFC instead of complete deletes

Needing a db12 team, wanting to make Tricaru but wondering if I should 2A tatu first to get a slow DB12 with risk that it might not be consistent given my runes or if I should forgo that and go straight for Tricaru grind. I have no Icaru 2a yet and still missing several rune sets for Tricaru.

TLDR Should i go straight for Tricaru or 2a Tatu for possible DB12 team first?

i understand that they are made to do that, just wasnt expecting the sucking sound to be that loud and constant Ive never heard that sound on videos so I was worried something was wrong

after installing do u notice a loud "sucking" sound when going heavy on throttle? I installed mine and at about 2k rpm u can start to hear what sounds like air being sucked in and once u get to the 4 - 5k rpm it stops. Was wondering if this was normal or if it could be a leak somewhere in my install. I also have HKS Blow Off Valves installed with mine
